Jaypee University of Information & Technology, Solan was established in the year 2002. It offers 7 specializations under the B.Tech program, 4 under M.Tech, and 8 under the Ph.D. program. B.Tech is a full-time undergraduate programme of four years with a total of 510 seats. M.Tech is a two-year full-time course with an intake capacity of 18 seats per specialization. JUIT offers Ph.D. as both full-time and part-time. Candidates also have the choice of sponsored Ph.D.

• For admission through JEE (Mains), candidate should have qualified JEE (Mains) All India Rank.
• For admission through 10+2 Marks Merit mode, 60% aggregate marks is must.
• For admission to B.Tech Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics, candidate should have passed 10+2 with Biology / Biotechnology as one of the subjects.
• For admission to B.Tech Lateral Entry, candidate should have passed Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

No, you can not get direct admission in Jaypee University of Information Technology since the university accepts students on an entrance basis followed by counselling. However, the university may accept direct admissions against the vacant seats for some of the courses.
