Basic tier 2 college like any other with decent placement. The college has a view of the mountains.

Placements: Many students got placed but a lot of them were mass recruitment but still, we got 50 LPA. The highest package but off-campus in Google we have above 10 LPA. The average is nearly 7 LPA now it just depends on your skills. Some of the seniors have cracked intern with more than 1 LPA stipend.

Infrastructure: Above average facilities for the mess. Wi-Fi only has 5 GB internet with good speed and has almost all seats blocked so it's of no use. If you wanna watch YouTube or Instagram you can use it. The library is good. Classrooms are also well-maintained and hygiene is also above average.

Faculty: All the same courses and all copies from government universities and carried through cramming. It's all just the same and doesn't have that much of a change. Below average for the placement you just have to study yourself for placement like every other college it's just the same.

Placements: Almost 90-95% of the students in our course got placed. The highest salary offered is 2 lacs per month, and the average salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. Top recruiting companies like Amazon, HCL, Byju's, Accenture, Adobe, etc., visit our campus for placements. A top role offered in our course for the students is programming. The highest salary package offered in our course is 22 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. More than 90% of the students from our course got an internship.

Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi facility on the whole campus by the name of Wi-Fi JUIT. Labs are always up to date with new laboratories system. Classrooms are well furnished with an interactive board. A mess is so clean, and the food served is so delicious with so many varieties. Two canteens are available, one is a small canteen called tuck shop, and another is a cafeteria.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified and knowledgeable. They are PhD holders. They have a quality of knowledge. You can have so many opportunities as teachers help the students so much. The course curriculum is up to date, and it changes accordingly with students benefit. It makes the students industry-ready.

Other: I have chosen this course because I want to do engineering in the information technology course. It provides many opportunities for students.

The infrastructure and placements are really good.

Placements: Placements in the college were very good. More than 100 companies including mass recruiters from various fields visited the campus to recruit students. Some companies even visited the college to hire students for very specific roles. I was happy that some companies were even offering front-end customer-facing roles.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is commendable. The campus is spread over 5 acres, and this state of the art campus is well-built in between the hills. There is a 3-storey huge library with all the books required for the course. The Wi-Fi facility and computer labs are good. The food and the canteen are also good.

Faculty: The teachers are very good compared to the other colleges of the same standards. The course curriculum keeps on changing as per the requirements of the industry. The good thing is that they offer certain management courses which help students when they enter the corporate sector.

Other: Events organised in the college are huge, and the crowd is very diverse. The surroundings of the campus are awesome as the college is located between the hills.

Review of Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan

Placements: The placements have been really great. We have got a lot of opportunities to sit in various companies. The major being Amazon, SAP Labs, Zycus, Kuliza and much more. 70% of the students got 2 offers. Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM were the top companies who got most of the candidates. There were other opportunities outside the college which our college has introduced for us.

Infrastructure: The Jaypee college infrastructure is most the beautiful place I have ever seen especially the Solan one as it is surrounded near mountains. Have you ever wondered snowfall in your college? If not, then come to Jaypee Solan. As it is in cold places, the college has provided blowers in each room. The Internet is there in each room with a separate wardrobe, a bed, a table and a chair for each student. Food is really good as compared to other colleges.

Faculty: The faculty team has been great making you understand basic things with the whole curriculum. You have a chance to learn new technologies getting help from faulty and even from seniors. Labs have been properly set up taking care of each department requirements.

A glimpse into JUIT's wonderful experience

Placements: There were 100% placements with over 40 companies participating. The packages range from 21 lakhs per annum to 2.8 lakhs per annum. Top recruiters include amazon.in, EY, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Mindtree, Grofers, SAP Labs etc. The average package stood at 3.5 lakhs per annum. Roles offered were system engineer to programmer analysts. Some roles like risk management were also offered. Start-ups and MNCs both participated in the placement season. People had multiple offers to choose from.

Infrastructure: Labs and equipment were state of the art. The rooms were twin-sharing and a single accommodation was also available. There were 2 messes to accommodate all students and 1 cafe after mess hours. All rooms in hostels were centrally heated. The hostel had TT rooms and a gym facility. Apart from this, badminton courts and basketball court were also present. There were 4 computer labs, 2 physics labs and 4 electronics labs. Overall, it was quite a pleasant stay

Faculty: The faculty members were really abled and qualified. All departments were headed by professors with tremendous teaching experience. Teaching was classroom and project based. Compulsory lab work was required to earn credits. The course curriculum was designed to meet industry requirements and standards. Industry exposure was through the 2-month internship after the 3rd year which people took.

JUIT and whether it is a good option to opt or should you take a drop this year and prepare again.

Placements: If you desire to pursue a career in the field of software engineering, JUIT can get you a job in at least mass recruiters. JUIT has a common placement cell at JIIT-Noida where a lot many companies recruit in the final year. Except for the mass recruiters, you have MNCs like Amazon, Google, Hike, Browserstack, Kuliza, Deloitte, Capital IQ, Paytm, etc. The salary offered ranges from 5 LPA to 30 LPA.

Infrastructure: JUIT has a very beautiful infrastructure. The campus is spread in the lush green valley of Himachal Pradesh (approximately 17 km away from Shimla) at the Chandigarh- Shimla highway. The campus is spread across 25 acres of land and has well-furnished lecture theatres, classrooms and hostel rooms. It also has a helipad.

Faculty: Minimum qualifications required to be a faculty member in JUIT is of M.Tech degree in the specialised field, which itself speaks of the faculty members' qualification and knowledge. Hardly there are cases when you have no faculty members in the classes. Mass skipping of classes is easy but punishable (like surprise quiz, assignment, or read the topic by yourself).

Other: Travelling is a little bit hectic as you have to either board a bus from Chandigarh or book a cab from Kalka. Toy trains are also available but are too slow to travel. It is a silent place to go in for but people generally don't prefer it because of the homesickness.

Other: The infrastructure was very good with well-built classrooms. You can find a wide range of books in every subject related to your field of study. The hostel is on twin sharing basis and each room is provided with a bed, a Godrej almirah, a study table, a chair, wall hanging racks and a standing rack. The placement record for my batch was hundred percent. Most of them got placed in Infosys and Accenture. But if you have good coding abilities and the required potential, then you can also have a chance to get placed in Amazon with an average of 9 Lacs P.A, SAP with an average of 6 lacs P.A and many other core companies. Some of the faculty members had good industry exposure while others didn’t. So, it is up to you to make use of the knowledge and the faculty.

Other: Just can be considered one of the best places to have a hostel life. The weather and the location definitely contribute to it. Placements are not that great especially in my year but overall they do their best to give students opportunity to at least get one offer. The best part I would say us the JYC which helps students to develop some hobby and persist with it over the 4 years you spend there.
