Jaypee University of Information & Technology, Solan was established in the year 2002. It offers 7 specializations under the B.Tech program, 4 under M.Tech, and 8 under the Ph.D. program. Yes, Jaypee University of Information Technology follows reservation guidelines as issued by the Government of India. A certain percentage of the total seat intake of each course is reserved for various categories, such as SC/ ST/ EWS/ PWD, etc. Further, the university also reserves seats for its BTech students belonging to certain categories. JUIT Solan reservation policies for its BTech course are as follows:

• Kashmiri migrants/ Kashmiri Hindu families living in Kashmir valley as per the guidelines of MHRD
• Supernumerary seats for candidates who have the PM cares for children scheme certificate 
• 10% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Himachal Pradesh
• 10% of seats are reserved for wards of serving/ retired ex-servicemen and Paramilitary Forces personnel

CGPA is a measure of academic performance that takes into account the grades earned in each course over a specified period of time. There's a general process that is followed in Jaypee University of Information Technology:  Students obtaining grades A (+) to D, shall be declared pass. Students failing in the subject will be awarded F grade. The grades shall be decided on the aggregate of evaluation of all Three written tests, T-1 (15 marks), T-2 (25 marks), End Semester Exam (35 marks) ; Assignments Quizzes, homework and regularly in attendance etc. ; Practical and Projects. A numerical value, known as Grade Points, is assigned to each letter grade which makes the SGPA (per semester) and the average of all SGPA's is calculated which is declared as the overall CGPA.

At JUIT, all students including those in BBA benefit from a dedicated Training & Placement Cell that guides, trains, and prepares candidates for campus recruitment drives, industry interactions, and corporate opportunities throughout their final year.

For BSc course, the candidate have to meet the last educational qualification as per course requirement. The candidate should complete Class 12th with 60% aggregate. The selection procedure for the programme is merit-based. Apart from this, students who have valid CUET score, are also eligible to apply for the course.

NTA has not announce the JEE Main 2024 form fill up date. However, it is expected that the application forms will be released in December. The tentative JEE Main 2024 application form date session 1 is December first week. JEE Main application form 2024 will be available online on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in 2024. Interested candidates will be able to apply from the official website. JEE Main 2024 registration last date will be last week of December or January first week. As the exam will be conducted in two sessions, NTA will release separate application forms for both the sessions.

NTA had started the CUET PG 2026 application process on December 14, 2025, at the official website for admissions to the master's degree programmes offered at various participating institutes.

CUET PG registration process 2026 was completely online, and candidates could fill out the application form by creating a registered account at the official website. The last date for filling out the CUET PG application form 2026 was January 23, 2026. Originally, the last date of application was January 14, 2026, which was extended till January 20 and January 23. The application fee had to be paid by January 25, 11.50 PM.

Candidates can check the JEE Main 2026 exam date allotted to them on their city intimation slip and JEE Main admit card. Candidates have to download the city intimation slip and admit card from the official website as per the schedule

The eligibility criteria for the schlarship at Jaypee University of Information Technology is mentioned below:
