Merit Scholarship will be given to those students who perform best in their class. Number and value of the scholarship will be recommended by the Board of Management and Decided by the Board of Governors every year. Academic, sports, and all scholarship are available in different fields. 

MAHGU provides placement support to students enrolled in its BSc courses. However, the university has not yet released the course-specific placement report pertaining to BSc. After graduating from Himalayan Garhwal University, BSc graduates are eligible to take up various jobs in the government sector. 31% of the total seats are reserved by MAHGU for students who are permanent residents of Uttarakhand.
