The university has not released the course-wise placement report for 2025 as of now. However, according to the NIRF report 2025, the key highlights of MG University placements 2024 for PG 2-year courses (which includes MA) are mentioned below:

A Common Admission Test (MGU CAT) is used for the purpose of the MG University application procedure for all courses offered on the university campus. To apply for any of the programmes, candidates must first register online at the MGU CAT official website. Candidates from the general category must pay a cost of INR 1,000, while applicants from the reserved category must pay a fee of INR 500. The steps for applying to MG University are listed below:

Step 2: Click on new registration and register yourself.

Step 3: Fill in the required academic and personal details.

Step 4: Upload the required documents, including a qualifying exam mark sheet and a passport-size photograph.

Step 5: Pay the application fee online via debit/ credit cards or net banking.

MG University MA fee is cumulative of multiple fee components such as the tuition fee, hostel charges, enrolment fee, security deposit, and many more. The fee for MA courses varies for the courses on-campus and those offered by the affiliated colleges. Total tuition fee for this course range between INR 1,900 and INR 1.8 lakh. Moreover, the given fee range is cumulative of courses offered by the university on-campus as well as through its affiliated colleges, hence may vary.

Both MGU and Calicut University are popular universities in Kerala. In the NIRF 2023 rankings, MG University leads Calicut on 31st spot and the latter has secured 70th position.  Hence, ranking-wise MGU is a better option. However, the course fee is more economical at the Calicut University. MGU MA fees range between INR 1,900 and INR 1.8 Lacs and at Calicut University, the MA fee range from INR 950 to INR 82,500. The University has released the NIRF report 2025. The report incorporates 2024 statistics. As per report, 455 PG-2 year and 26 UG-5 year students were placed during the 2024 placements. The median salary offered to UG-5 year and PG-2 year students was INR 4 LPA and INR 5.5 LPA, respectively.
