MSU Baroda Eligibility & Highlights 2026

MSU Baroda BSc courses 2026 are available in different specialisations, including BSc. Environmental Science, BSc. Botany, BSc. Chemistry, BSc. Geology, BSc. Mathematics, BSc. Statistics and BSc. Zoology. These are divided into six semesters, and admission is done through the MSUB portal; anyone outside Gujarat must have scored at least 50% regardless of their category. For those from Gujarat, the Socially and Educationally Backward Class must have scored 35% whereas reserved category and other category students need to score at least 50%.

For female students, the MSc Baroda fee is INR 8,870, and for male students, the MSc Baroda fee is INR 10,070 for girls for the first two semesters. Excellent course to be enrolled in.

Placements: The number of students placed in our course was around 55. There are no placements offered in the bachelors field in MSU. The course though is very informative and would benefit us in our future for sure whether we want to establish a career in the field or pursue further degrees.

Infrastructure: There are three floors in the department of faculty of family and community sciences. Proper classrooms are provided with seating arrangements and large tables for projects and assignments as well. Wi-Fi is also available in the university which allows you to access informative websites without giving you access to distractive apps.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful during the entire time in the university. We are never neglected and the doubts are solved very patiently and perfectly. Even if someone scores low on their tests or exams they are never demotivated by teachers. We are provided with doubt-clearing sessions before every exams.

Other: The courses are great but I hope more topics are covered. If we are offered job placements or even internships are provided through/by the university.

The infrastructure is very beautiful and the university is very vast.

Placements: They don't offer campus placement for B.Sc. students but off campus, you can easily get a job and many internships in various sectors.

Infrastructure: The lab, classrooms, and library are well-maintained properly. The MS University has a huge pavilion that includes almost all the sports and provides students with the facility to use the equipment and also has coaches and trainers. The students of MS University can go to the Health Center for health checkups, it's free of cost.

Faculty: The faculty and department help students with each query spontaneously, the infrastructure is very inspiring, and talking about the course, the syllabus of B.Sc. The statistics course is the best here at least in Gujarat. The course covers all the theory knowledge as well as practical knowledge, previously they were taking students on field trips. But, now I guess it's for Masters students only but no worries as they engage with many web seminars also online and offline workshopsThe teaching team of our department is very helpful and highly-knowledgeable. Talking in terms of qualifications every person has many achievements in various fields. The course does make students industry-ready as they make them prepare for projects, presentations, and many activities involving all the practical and theoretical knowledge.

Other: Various activities are going on the campus every month and the most exciting event is the open- house. I feel taking students on field trips will make them see, and understand some of the concepts very clearly.

I am somewhat satisfied with my bachelor's degree from MSU.

Placements: Maharaja Sayajirao University is well known, but it is the worst when it comes to placements. I got admitted to general B.Sc. program. All students who get admitted to general courses lack internships and placements. They offer placements to those students who are in high-payment courses.

Infrastructure: As the name suggests, my university is widespread and has many different faculty members across various departments, along with good infrastructure. We have Wi-Fi, canteens, a Nescafe canteen, a medical department, hostels, etc. It's not very hygienic, but the taste in all of mess and canteens is good, and it is very affordable.

Faculty: All the professors are highly qualified and, on average, hold PhD. in their respective fields. Some are very helpful and calm, but on the other hand, there are a few who tend to yell rather than help and can be very stubborn. Course is usually not explained in detail, but practical lectures help us understand. This is why the exam papers are easy if we pay attention in class.

The best college in Gujarat

Placements: From my batch, 10-15% of students were placed from the University, and the package they got is around 4.5-7.00 LPA. The top recurring companies are Sun Pharma, ONGC, etc. From the batch, almost all students get internships in different companies. The basic roles in my course for the internship and placement are quality analyst, QC, production manager, etc.

Infrastructure: The classroom labs and infrastructure of the college are among the best I have ever seen. As in campus, we get a free Wi-Fi facility. Also, the college library is the best place for reading in a peaceful surrounding. I had not used the hostel as I am a resident of Vadodara, but the sports facilities are too good. The college has its separate cricket ground, which was maintained by the Baroda Cricket Association. The college also has a pavilion where we can play games like football, volleyball, swimming, etc.

Faculty: The exam pattern is set to be hard to get the best possible outcome from the students. Teachers are very knowledgeable, and I will rate teaching quality 8/10. The semester exams are a little tough; you need to cover the syllabus to get good marks in them.

Other: I had to choose BSc chemistry because I am wanting to work in forensic science as well as in the pharma industry.

Really good infrastructure and great teachers with average placement in the company.

Placements: The approximate number of students in our course was around 180-200. The highest package paid was around 8 LPA. The average was about 5 LPA. The lowest was about 3 LPA. The companies were mostly polymer companies with some soap and shampoo companies which were producing chemical-related products. Around 70% of students got internships. Personally, I got an internship in Shakun Polymer in Gotri. The course offers a lab assistant position.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was kind of average in the college. It has a good canteen which offers affordable food. The classrooms allocated to us were 3, with 2 labs. The Wi-Fi was free for everyone in the college with great speed. The games were also good with a great indoor and outdoor stadium. Personally, I was not in the hostel so I cannot judge the food quality.

Faculty: The teachers in Chemistry were friendly and had great information with them which helped us a lot in the semester. Almost all teachers held Ph.D. degrees in their respective fields. The exams and the mid-semester tests were tough enough to test your knowledge.

Placements: Our college provides good placements. The salary package offered is 1 LPA to 10 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good infrastructure. The college is neat and clean. Labs are well equipped. Projectors are available in classrooms. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Many books are available in the library. A garden and canteen are available. Medical facilities are good. Sports and games are good.

Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and supportive. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Semester exams are average. The pass percentage is 40%. The course makes students industry-ready.

Other: Events and fests are excellent. The campus crowd is good. The campus connectivity and surroundings are good. Scholarships are provided. Extracurricular activities are held.
