Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2026

Satisfied but not confident.
Placements: Nothing much for B.Com students. No one was placed in our course. There is no average package, so no one actually received any kind of money at all. Roles like accountant, business management, chartered accountant, CMA company secretary, GST officer, etc., are offered.
Infrastructure: The course was good. I lived in my home with my parents. But some of my friends who were in a hostel told me they were good. Moreover, I also missed the hostel life, but it was good to live with family and complete graduation. Therefore, I don't face any challenge regarding the internet.
Faculty: Examination and teachers are well managed and professional. The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is actually decent enough for understanding. These courses are actually good for students who want to study business. Semester exams are easy, my pass percentage is 55% because I only study during exam time.
Other: I chose this course because I want to focus on my further plans regarding some businesses, and I also did many jobs during the course.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2027

The college is pretty average and satisfactory.
Placements: As of now, I don't assume that huge companies are coming for campus recruitment for B.Com, and if they come, a very average package is offered. In the 3rd year, there is a compulsory internship, the college offers campus recruitment internship, or students can suo motu find their internship. The internship is of short duration.
Infrastructure: Classrooms of the main building of commerce are just enough for studying, and yet not the best. There is a dedicated library known as Hansa Mehta library, which is good in terms of facilities. The Wi-Fi is not available in the commerce faculty, and the infrastructure is also average. The canteen is good.
Faculty: Exams are very much predictable on the basis of past year questions, almost 80% of the paper is similar to what is asked in past exams. There is a subject known as IKS, which, in my perspective, is not necessary, yet it is very easy, as half of the paper is objective-based. Teachers are helpful by nature.

Our college ranks 5th in the state.
Placements: Most students who have good CGPA and skills generally get placements from the college in the 4th year only. The training and placement cell offers internships and also trains students for the interview and helps them. The average placement is approximately 5 LPA-6 LPA.
Infrastructure: As it is a government college, there are still smart classrooms, the labs have every piece of equipment, and there is Wi-Fi on the campus as well. The government hotel is not very great but for such a small fee it's great. The campus of the college is very great.
Faculty: The teachers mostly have post-graduation in their respective subjects. They are very knowledgeable and kind. They are also interested in helping the students and solving their doubts. As for the exams they are quite difficult but if you study properly you can easily get a good score.

Good and developing faculty.
Placements: Not many companies come to the college and the placement cell is not that active. Recently only the placement cell has started working again and companies like Tata come. Most students prefer litigation and those who prefer the corporate sector take CS with the course to easily get job opportunities.
Infrastructure: There is a library, computer lab, and Wi-Fi availability all over the campus. Recently the college also gave students access to Manupatra for legal research. The computer lab has AIR for research purposes and the library has many books. Online resources are also available.
Faculty: Most teachers are very good and helpful. The curriculum is designed for students to be able to focus on extracurricular activities as well as academics. The official internship month is October and you can do additional internships in the summer after the semester-end exam. Semester exams are not that tough if you study diligently and have good marks in internals.
Other: Atrangi is a 3 to 4-day-long college fest type thing. There is a mismatch day, a Bollywood day, and a traditional day. Also there are annual sports weeks/days as well.

It has a good curriculum. It covers almost everything in life science.
Placements: Around 20-30 percent of students got placed as of now. 2 pharmaceutical companies came for placements. Other than that, people are mainly focused on pursuing a PhD, hence looking for their institutions.
Infrastructure: Personal canteen for CMB is not available. It has other amenities like Wi-Fi and labs (there are 4-5 labs, and all are in good condition). It has AC classrooms and labs as well. The library is available with all the related reference books. I have no idea about hostels, as there are very few hostels at CMB.
Faculty: I think faculty members are the best thing about CMB. The course curriculum consists of almost everything from physics to mathematics, chemistry, statistics, and all fields of life science as well, like immunology, cell biology, metabolism, stem cell, disease and disorders, plant tissue culture, proteomics, etc. Faculty members' guidance is at the top, and they have helped everyone with their dissertations and cleared everyone's queries about labs.
Other: There is a problem with events or campus life. I think that might be due to a small batch, but I would encourage students to be active and improve campus life.

Good faculty, bad facilities.
Placements: Banking Manager, Marketing Associate, banking companies like Axis and HDFC came. The highest gross salary for a month offered was around Rs. 23,000, while the lowest or average would be Rs. 20,000. Overall, the campus placement provided was good. I went into the CMA sector, so I still know little of it.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided were okayish. Water supply was a bit scarce; we had to go to the next building of M.Com to fill in our bottles if the staff didn't get it sooner. The exams taken were not strict enough, just like in any other B.Com. I'd say that this was better B.Com Honours than many other colleges you would go into.
Faculty: The exams taken were not strict enough, just like in any other B.Com. I'd say that this was better B.Com Honours than many other colleges you would go into. Teachers are respected, and they were fun too. A few faculty members were too stereotypical and weird.
Other: Hostels are bad. Events and all were great.

MSU Baroda admissions for UG programmes are both merit & entrance-based. The university's minimum required percentage ranges from 40% to 55% in Class 12. Hence, a student having 75% does meet the basic eligibility. However, admissions are based on entrance/ counselling basis. An applicant must meet
