Commonly asked questions
On Highlights
Q:   Is MBA at NLU Jodhpur better than Jaipur National University?
A:

There is confusion about the fact that the NLU Jodhpur MBA course is in insurance and insurance risk management with a fee of Rs. 2,35,000/year for two years. Jaipur National University offers an MBA course in dual specialisation and hospital and health care management with fees of Rs. 1,80,500 per year for two years. At NLU, there is no entrance exam for the selection process; it is based on merit. The JNU entrance exam (CAT, MAT, XAT, and CMAT) is clear for the selection process. In NLU, the admissions process is not lengthy, but fees are higher, and in JNU, the fees are lower, but the selection process is tough.

Q:   Can I get into NLU Jodhpur with 70% in class 12th?
A:

Yes, you can get admission to NLU Jodhpur with 70% in class 12. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission is to score more than 45% in 10+2 with any recognised board. One more important thing is to clear the CLAT exam for BA LL.B. (hons.) and BBA LL.B. (hons.) courses because the selection process is based on it.

Q:   What rank is required for NLU Jodhpur B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) admission?
A:

NLU Jodhpur offers BBA LLB (Hons) and BA LLB (Hons) courses at the undergraduate level. Admission is based on CLAT cutoff scores, followed by the counselling process. In the last round, the closing rank for the BBA LLB (Hons) course was 406 for the General AI category students. Therefore, students must traget to aim for a rank below 400 to secure a seat at NLU Jodhpur.

Q:   What are the minimum marks required for MBA at NLU Jodhpur 2023?
A:

There are two MBA courses pursued by colleges: the first is an MBA (insurance), in which 55% of bachelor's degrees are from any discipline, and the selection process is based on merit. Second is MBA (insurance risk management), in which B.E. or B.Tech. is in engineering, excluding electronics, telephone communication, and CS & it with a 55% score and the same selection process as it.

It has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Many seniors have got really good placement, many have also got PPO, and RICC also helps in getting an internship. I have personally felt that the committee and seniors are very interactive and helpful in guiding about the internship, and they also provide their experience.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, getting renovated every now and then. They have single-occupancy rooms, and the washrooms of the girls' hostels are very nice. Moreover, caretakers are also nice. It's a very green campus. The canteen can be improved. There is some potential. The mess committee is a student-led committee.
Faculty: Faculty is super supportive, and the course is well structured and well balanced. They guide you when you have difficulty in any subject. Regular CAs help in the end semesters, too. ASLC committee also helps in clarifying doubts when needed, they can arrange extra classes as well.
Other: Students are from all across India, and are very interactive.

Good Placements in the 2026 batch, but fees are high.
Placements: The highest day zero placement of the 2026 batch is 22 LPA, the average package offered is 18 LPA and the lowest package is around 13 LPA. Top recruiters like AZB, Cyril Amarchand, ICICI Bank, Trilegal are prevalent, providing roles like legal associate, legal advisory. Overall, if you have a decent CGPA, there are high chances of you getting placed.
Infrastructure: The hostels are a great plus point with single seater rooms provided with a Bed as well as a study table and an almirah, along with a balcony. The campus is green and huge. The food is pretty decent, with above average breakfast and average but nutritious dinner and lunch. Sports and games are also prevalent with Yuvardha a great sports event happening every 2 years. Students also go to IIT nearby to play and compete with other students. So the sports culture is very prevalent.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, with almost every teacher having a doctorate before their name. They are really approachable and solve doubts without trivializing them. The course curriculum is amazing, with contacts already in the first semester and other subjects like jurisprudence already included in the early years. The semester exams are not that difficult, honestly, unless you do not attend classes or have a mission to not study. The pass percentage is 45 percent.
Other: I chose B.A. LL.B. because B.A. is related more to the law subjects, as law has a lot to do with social life and social subjects, therefore provides a good overview or background for this. The best things about this course are the balance it provides, for example, my first semester have heavy or difficult subjects like contact or jurisprudence, but they are balanced by easy subjects like sociology or, lets say, English. The fees are indeed on the higher side, but the ROI is good. First of all, the academic rigour is intense with constant continuous assessment, court room exercise, classes till 4, along with that you need to manage other commitments like some committee work or moots. Nothing goes in vain, the results you get after these are marvelous.

Truly good for placement performance.
Placements: For sure, there are booming vacancies for MBA students in the field of insurance in companies like Acko, Gallagher, Linklaters London, Digit Insurance, Watson, Munich Re, Evalueserv, and more, this list keeps getting added each new year. The MBA insurance course gained high placement results.
Infrastructure: The climate around the college is too hot, so AC runs throughout the day in every classroom, laboratory, and hostel room. Libraries have a huge collection of books, even accessed with Hein online access, and tags are pasted in every book edition for proper maintenance.
Faculty: Greatness is the first priority, and efforts of students are less valued. If you score high, you are encouraged to utilise all the privileges offered to the students, otherwise handled with less priority, but excessive classes are scheduled. Professors are more aggressive when we are a little careless.
