NLU Kochi LLM Eligibility & Highlights 2025

NLU Kochi LLM or Master of Laws is a one-year postgraduate-level course offered in a full-time mode. The LLM course is available in three distinct branches, i.e., International Trade Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, and Public Health Law. Further, the PG-level course curriculum is spread across three trimesters every academic year with a blend of core and elective courses.

NLU Kochi LLM admission is subject to the entrance exam and on merit-cum-poreference basis. Admission to the LLM course is subject to a valid score on the Common Law Admission Test, known as CLAT. Additionally, candidates are required to go through the CLAT counseling process conducted by CNLU for final seat allotment. National Law University, Kochi LLM admission is a multi-step process that mainly includes CLAT 2025. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) began the CLAT 2025 registration has been concluded now. However, before applying, candidates must make sure to have a proper knowledge of the LLM course and the eligibility criteria. Find below the detailed National Law University, Kochi admission process for LLM admission:

Step 1: NLU Application Process LLM 2025

For the National Law University, Kochi, admissions to the LLM programme are done through CLAT. Candidates must visit the official website of CNLU to apply for CLAT. Only candidates who will fill out the application form as well as pay the fee will be issued admit cards to appear in the exam in 2025. The official website for filling out the application form for CLAT 2025 is consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Step 2: CLAT Selection Process

The registered candidates are required to appear for the CLAT entrance exam for admission to LLM programmes. After that, candidates willing to get admission in LLM programme, have to go through the CLAT counselling process for acceptance of seats.

As per the exam pattern of CLAT, the CLAT Question Paper will have 120 sections and five sections, i.e., English Language, Current Affairs including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. The CLAT exam will be held in an offline, i.e., pen-and-paper-based test mode. Candidates will get two hours to attempt the CLAT 2026 question paper.

Step 3: CLAT Counselling

The counselling process of CLAT 2025 will be conducted online mode on the official website of the Consortium of NLUs; i.e. consortiumofnlus. Ac. CLAT Counselling Registration 2025 will be done before the CLAT Counselling Process 2025 begins. Candidates who will be shortlisted for the CLAT 2025 admission process will be asked to exercise their options to accept, revise, or withdraw from the seat allotment process before the last date.

Step 4: Final Seat Allotment

Candidates who will accept the allotted seat need to upload all the required documents on the official portal. After that candidates, will be required to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats within a stipulated deadline.
