The law aspirants seeking admissions through CLAT 2025 can fill CLAT Application Form on or before October 15, 2024. CLAT 2025 Exam Date is December 1, 2024. Steps to fill CLAT 2025 Application Form

Candidates can follow the steps below to fill the application form of CLAT without making any errors:

Step 1 - CLAT Registration

  • Visit the official website of CLAT Consortium - https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/ and a message is appearing on the homepage (see in the image below) and candidates need to click on ‘CLICK HERE’ to visit the application window
  • On the left side of the application window, a login form is given and candidates registering for the first time need to click on ‘Don’t have an account? Register’ button
  • The online registration form of CLAT 2025 will pop-up on the screen and candidates need to provide following details to register:

Name – As mentioned on the academic documents (class 10th certificate or name change certificate if any)

Q:   How to fill CLAT entrance exam form?

A:

Before you begin with the CLAT application process, keep the below-mentioned items ready: 

  • A working email ID and mobile number
  • Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
  • ID and address proof (Aadhaar Card/Driving License/PAN Card, etc.)
  • Scanned Passport size photograph (Format: JPEG)
  • Scanned signature (Format: JPEG)
  • Category certificate if applying under SC/ST/OBC category
  • Relevant certificate issued by a competent authority if applying as PwD or BPL candidate

The CLAT 2025 eligibility criteria for admission to UG courses is - a minimum of 45 per cent marks in class 12, and for the PG course is - a bachelor's law degree with at least 50 per cent marks.

Q:   When can I fill CLAT form?

A:

The online application form of CLAT 2025 was released on July 15, 2024. The application form of CLAT 2025 is now avaiable on the official website; i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates can fill a single application form for all participating NLUs until the last date of CLAT Registration 2025; i.e. October 15, 2024. 

Q:   What could be the reasons for the rejection of the CLAT application form?

A:
There are multiple parameters for rejection of CLAT application form, and these are: Incomplete application form Non-payment of application fee Blur/unclear uploaded photos or documents Skipping any step of filling application form Apart from these details, if any correction is required then CLAT consortium will provide correction window facility for candidates to cross-check and edit their application form.

Mobile Number – Candidates need to enter a valid mobile phone number either their own or parents/ guardian’s

Password – Candidates need to create a secure and strong password that has at least one numerical, one number, one symbol, an uppercase and a lower case alphabet and it should be at least 8 characters long

After this, candidates need to click on the ‘Register’ button and an OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number. Use this OTP to activate CLAT login account as under:

Step 2 - Account Activation

Candidates have to enter the OTP received on their mobile number to access the CLAT application form.

Step 3 - Filling up the application form

Candidates can now use their CLAT login to fill up the application form as under:

Upload photograph and signature – Candidates also need to upload their photograph and signature after they register for CLAT 2025. The photograph should be front-facing and clear image. Signature should be a scanned copy, and file format should be jpg/ jpeg only.

Q:   Is CLAT 2025 registration form out?

A:

No, the CLAT 2025 Application Form was released on July 15. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) began the CLAT 2025 Registration Process from July 15 and candidates can apply until October 15, 2024. CLAT 2025 Exam Date is December 1.Candidates must note that CLAT 2025 Application Form can be filled online only. Only those candidates who have filled CLAT Application Form 2025 successfully, will be able to appear for the CLAT Exam. 

Q:   Can I fill CLAT application form in phases?

A:
Yes, you can fill the CLAT application form in phases. Each step of the CLAT application form will provide a 'Save' option using which candidates can save the filled-in information. In case, candidates want to exit and complete the application form next time then they simply need to log in again and continue from where they left. The application process of CLAT will be complete once candidates pay the fee and submit the form. Moreover, candidates can login again and correct their details in the application form of CLAT as long as the window is open.

Q:   How much is CLAT 2025 application fee?

A:

The application fee for CLAT exam is different as per the category of a candidate. For General/OBC/PWD/PIO/OCI/NRI, the application fee is INR 4,000 and for SC/ST/BPL category, the application fee is INR 3,500. Extra charges of INR 500 are applicable if candidates want to obtain previous years' CLAT question papers from the exam authority. Apart from CLAT application fee and cost of question paper bundle, candidates need not pay any other charges.

A:

Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at National Law Universities (NLUs) must note that the CLAT 2025 Notification has been released. Along with the CLAT 2025 Official Notification, the Consortium has also released CLAT 2025 Important Dates too. CLAT Registration Process 2025 began on July 15, 2024. The last date to fill CLAT Application Form 2025 is October 15, 2024. CLAT 2025 registration fee is INR 4,000 for general category candidates and INR 3,500 for SC, ST and BPL candidates. In case, aspirant wish to get previous year question papers, they have to pay INR 500 while filling up the CLAT 2025 Application Form.  

Q:   How to register for CLAT 2025?

A:

Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to register for CLAT 2025:

  • Go to the CLAT 2025 official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • Open the CLAT 2025 portal and click on the new registration
  • Fill CLAT registration form by entering your contact number, email ID and name and submit
  • Enter the OTP that you have received on your mobile number and email ID to complete registration.

Fill up the form – Candidates need to fill the following details in the application form:

  • Enter Applicant Name – as per the class 10+2 certificate
  • Select gender
  • Select Date of Birth in MM/DD/YY format
  • Enter the father’s name
  • Enter the mother’s name
  • Select nationality
  • Select All India Category – General/ OBC/ SC/ ST (If you select the category other than general then, a new field will open up for uploading a supporting document as issued by the competent authority. The document should be in pdf file format and the size should be less than 1.5 MB)
  • Select if belonging to PWD or BPL (Below Poverty Line) category – If yes, then respective documents need to upload in pdf file format and size not more than 1.5 MB)

After this, candidates need to proceed on the next step as under:

Communication details – Candidates need to enter the communication address related information as under:

  • Correspondence address – present residential address
  • Select state/ UT, District
  • Enter PIN code of your corresponding address
  • Enter Permanent Address – fill the same details as correspondence if the address is same.
  • Enter mobile number and email ID

Qualifying examination details – In this form, the candidates need to provide the following details related to their academics:

  • Qualifying examination
  • Board/ University
  • Status of qualifying examination – whether already appeared, appearing or passed
  • Select month of passing the examination
  • Select year of passing
  • Enter the qualifying marks in percentage

Test Centre Preference – Candidates have to select at least three cities from the list of CLAT 2025 test centres in order of preference.

College Preferences – In this step, candidates need to mark the National Law Universities (NLUs) in order of preference. All the 24 NLUs will be listed on this page.

Reservation – Candidates in this step will be able to select reservation quota available in each NLU. Fill the required details if seeking admission under reserved category.

Step 4 - Fee payment

After filling up the application form, candidates need to pay the CLAT application fee as under:

  1. Click on green coloured ‘Make Payment’ button available on the dashboard
  2. On clicking this, a pop up will appear as under:

No, the CLAT exam is primarily for admission to undergraduate law programs offered by National Law Universities (NLUs) and other participating institutions. These programs lead to an LLB degree, but not specifically in Education Law.

For admission to an LLB degree, candidates have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the university/ law colleges.
