The mode of Rajiv Gandhi Law University Patiala admission is online. Admission to various courses is based on merit and scores of entrance examinations. The accepted entrance exams are Rajiv6 and various others. Candidates applying through the CLAT entrance examination must first register for the CLAT exam. Then, the candidates must appear for the CLAT examination. Then check out the CLAT results and take part in the counselling round. Pay the admission fee in full at the selected and the allotted college/university.

FFE Scholarship of RGNUL rewards academically bright but economically-weak students. The scholarship is open to students fulfiling the below criteria:

• The combined family income of the students should be INR 3 Lacs or less per annum
• Aspirants must pass HSc/ intermediate/ CBSE/ ISC or equivalent not earlier than 2022, 2023 or 2024
• Students currently in the first year of BE/ BTech/ Integrated 5-year Dual degree MTech/ MBBS/ 5-year Integrated Law can avail the scholarship

Rajiv Gandhi law University offers BA LLB (Hons) and LLM course admission based on the CLAT score. The university also conducts entrance exam for admission to PhD and LLD course. The list of courses along with the accepted entrance exams is given below: 

Candidates need to pass graduation in the relevant discipline from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD) to apply for RGNUL PG Diploma course. Aspirants who complete graduation degree in any stream for prison personnel can also apply for PG Diploma course.

The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law would charge about Rs. 2.5 Lacs a year for the BA LLB (Hons) programme. The annual cost of an LLM will be approximately 2.1 lakhs. The annual cost of a Ph.D. will be approximately 2.2 lakhs. Students will also be assessed a range of fees by the university. The entrance cost to the university is Rs. 10,000, and it is not refundable. Additionally, the university charges an annual facilities fee of Rs. 23,000. A refundable security fee of Rs. 40,000 may also be assessed by the university; this money will be reimbursed to you at the end of your term.

The mess and hostel are extra costs that the students must pay; these are optional. The annual cost of the hostel will be approximately Rs. 40,000, and the mess bill will be approximately Rs. 48,000.
