Strong curriculum and placements, but need more industry exposure.

Placements: Around 85 percent of students in my course got placed. The highest package is 12 LPA. The lowest package is 3 LPA. The average package is 6.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Deloitte and IBM. They hire students from our course. Internships are around 70 percent of students in companies like Cognizant, Capgemini, HCL and EY.

Infrastructure: Our B.Sc. data science course at Periyar Maniammai College has well-equipped computer labs with high-speed Wi-Fi, modern classrooms with projectors and access to a digital library with research papers and textbooks. The department provides hands-on experience with machine learning and AI tools. The hostel facilities are decent, with spacious rooms, 24/7 water and electricity and Wi-Fi access. The mess food is average offering a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals while the canteen has additional snacks and beverages. The college provides medical facilities including a health center with a doctor available for emergencies. There are sports facilities.

Faculty: The curriculum is well-structured covering Python, R, SQL, big data, AI, deep learning, and cloud computing. Other: I am pursuing a B.Sc. in data science at Periyar Maniammai College. I chose this course because of my interest in AI, machine learning, and big data analytics. Data Science is a rapidly growing field with vast career opportunities, and I wanted to develop strong skills in programming, statistics and AI to stay ahead in the industry. The best things about the course are industry-relevant subjects like Python, R, SQL, AI, and ML. Hands-on labs and projects help in practical learning. There is a supportive faculty.

Honest review of PMIST, what I experienced during the course, and advantages and disadvantages.

Placements: Placements are good. Most of them got placed in core companies with their deep understanding of the course work and skills. We can expect around from 2.8 LPA to 13 LPA. Top companies we can expect in the academic year are Zoho, TCS, Wipro, Swiggy, Accenture, and more startups both service and product-based companies. I think 60% of students will get internships in local regional companies with a good stipend. It is based on how much knowledge you have. Data analyst, data scientist, data engineer, associate software development, and software development engineer roles are provided.

Infrastructure: They have good infrastructure and lab facilities with table internet connection and AC. Classrooms are good with projector systems. Libraries have tons of books that broadly cover almost all areas. The hostel food is okay. Wi-Fi is included. They have a hospital. I have taken some treatment there.

Faculty: Most of the staff have Ph.D. in their domains with proper knowledge. Because of deemed, they update their course regularly based on industry standards. Semesters are very easy. We can score above 90% very easily. Paper correction is done seamlessly. We can easily pass.

Other: Data science is a high-scope domain in the tech industry. We get almost all the skills required for that. I have personally taken self-paced courses, implying that on projects. Events are very rare, so don't expect. They also don't collect any amount for that.

Placements: 1.95% percentage can be placed. 2. The highest packege is 20,000, The lowest package is 10,000. 3. TCS, HCL, ACCENTURE and some other companies 4.50% percent student got internship 5. Yes Top Roles companies are offering for my courses, and it's better for my future .

Infrastructure: Yes There are different types of labs and, better Wi-Fi connection, Average classroom facilities and infrastructure, best library facilities and awesome infrastructure. The quality of food is just okay but hostel facilities are better, in canteen food price are high and not worthy for cost, best doctor and average facilities of hospital construction and infrastructure, sports and game are conducted in yearly one time or any other day like sports day or other days, .

Faculty: Yes faculty members are well knowledge and qualified to teach Yes the course curriculum are make the students for industry The decent percentage okay result from the college and semester examination are okay no issues but some time there are some struggle we face.

Other: I choose this course for my family and better future, The best thing, it is the future related courses To change the curriculum vision and mission for better results Events are conducted yearly once, campus crowd are okay, better connectivity, there is lot of scholarship scheme, 50% percent of extracurricular activities are conducted .

Good facilities and affordable courses.

Placements: Many students got placed in many companies like TCS, Cognizant, Tap Academy, Zoho, HCL, Bajaj Finserv, and Wipro. It only happens when we focus on both self-study and the university curriculum. Overall 70% of students got placed through on campus.

Infrastructure: The department has been equipped with modern technology for modern courses like AI and data science. We have 10,000+ books in our library that are very useful for every student in every department. The food in the canteen is good. Everything is affordable. Medical facilities are fine here for students. Classrooms are clean. Every classroom has an individual projector. In every department, they have a separate hall for conducting seminars. About sports, they have a well-organised ground, a gym, and so on.

Faculty: The course curriculum covers both practical and theoretical knowledge. The faculty members are also highly knowledgeable but the teaching quality differs from person to person. The exams are only for validating the course but not about the skills. To improve our skills, we need to focus on ourselves. The curriculum is designed well but it must be further driven into practical. As a computer student, the theoretical part must be less and it must be focused on practicals.

Other: I chose this course because of the fee that is affordable to everyone. The data science course fee in other colleges is over priced. It us really satisfied. In our department, we have many workshops and extracurricular activities that help us to have practical knowledge.
