BSc in Animation & Multimedia at PMU is a UG-level course extended over three years. The course duration is further divided into six semesters. Each semester comprises core and elective subjects. PMIST admits students to its BTech programme under three criteria. Only the admissions under the first criteria are based on the scores of accepted entrance exams. Candidates can get an admission at PMIST for BTech without an entrance exam under the other two criteria. However, a preference is given to the candidates who have appeared for an entrance exam. The curriculum of BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at PMIST is spread over a period of eight semesters. It includes various core, elective, theory and practical (lab) subjects. Students can also choose to pursue the course with a specialisation with additional coursework. The subjects included in the PMIST BTech CSE curriculum are as follows:

The PMSIT placements 2024 concluded with 78% of the batch placed, as on Feb 2024. A total of 338 job offers were rolled out to the students. Around 147 companies conducted the placement process and 3,257 job seekers attended the fair. The fees is different for different courses B.Tech courses 1lakh 40000 per year  and security money at the time of admission is 10000 rs.

For MBA courses the fees is 2 Lacs per year and security. Money is 20000 .

For other courses such as bsc  in pcm or pcb is 50000 per year.

For B.Sc in agriculture is around 80000 per year and security fees is 10000 rs.

For barchar courses it is around 1 Lacs 90000 per year .

For animation courses the Diploma courses in animation fees is around 1lakh 20000 per year.

For biotech courses B.Sc biotechnology or other life Science course the fees is around 90000 per year.

The University has successfully concluded the 2023 placements. A total of 678 students registered for the 2023 drive, out of which 581 were successfully placed. Further,  68 companies participated and distributed over 798 job offers. The the highest package and average package offered during Periyar Maniammai University placements 2023 were INR 6 LPA and INR 2.50 LPA, respectively. TCS, DAIKIN, Hexaware Technologies, and many other leading companies participated in PMIST placements 2023.

PMU BSc fees comprise multiple components, such as tuition fee, security deposit, hostel fee, admin fee, etc. Some of these components are one-time chargeable. The amount of security deposit is refundable after the completition of the course. Other fee components could be refundable, non-refundable, to be paid semester-wise or annually.
