Admission process at PRSU is merit based, with the university accepting PRSU Entrance Exam/ National level entrance exams/ Class 12 scores for the same. Students are advised to check the exams specific to their preferred course that they must attempt, on the official portal of the university.

To apply for any of the UG/ PG courses at PRSU, candidates have to fill an application form along with paying the application fee of INR 400. The institute accepts both online and offline applications. For an offline application, aspirants can visit the university campus and buy the admission form.

Candidates must submit the scores of the last qualifying exams/PRSU entrance exam/national level entrance exams. After the completion of the selection rounds, students must attend the counselling process held by PRSU. Later on, round-wise merit lists are released for candidates who get selected for the respective courses at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University.

PRSU allows candidates to join UG courses directly based on merit. The university accepts Class 12 scores for the same, provided the candidate is eligible for his/her course. however, for PG and PG Diploma programmes along with certain UG courses, PRSU accepts national level entrance exams and PRSU PG entrance exam scores. Pandit Ravi Shankar University Raipur is one of the esteemed university which was established in 1964. The institute is accredited with A Grade by NAAC and approved by the AICTE. PRSU University, through its 29 teaching departments or schools of study and around 150 affiliated colleges, offers PG, UG, PG diploma, certificate, diploma, doctoral, and post-doctoral courses to students across Management, Science, Arts, Law, Commerce, and other streams. The university has a placement cell and students have the opportunity to work with eminent MNCs. 

The minimum eligibility for UG courses is passing Class 12 in major-specific subjects with 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category). The minimum eligibility for PG and PG Diploma courses is having a Bachelor's degree in the same discipline with 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category).
