Admission process at PRSU is merit based, with the university accepting PRSU Entrance Exam/ National level entrance exams/ Class 12 scores for the same. Students are advised to check the exams specific to their preferred course that they must attempt, on the official portal of the university.

To apply for any of the UG/ PG courses at PRSU, candidates have to fill an application form along with paying the application fee of INR 400. The institute accepts both online and offline applications. For an offline application, aspirants can visit the university campus and buy the admission form.

Candidates must submit the scores of the last qualifying exams/PRSU entrance exam/national level entrance exams. After the completion of the selection rounds, students must attend the counselling process held by PRSU. Later on, round-wise merit lists are released for candidates who get selected for the respective courses at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University.

The minimum eligibility for UG courses is passing Class 12 in major-specific subjects with 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category). The minimum eligibility for PG and PG Diploma courses is having a Bachelor's degree in the same discipline with 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category).

For most UG courses, PRSU allows students to take admission on merit basis without an entrance exam. The university accepts Class 12 scores for the same. However for certain UG courses and all PG courses, the university conducts entrance exams and students must appear for the same. Admissions to the above mentioned courses are merit based with the institution accepting entrance exams scores. Pandit Ravi Shankar University Raipur is one of the esteemed university which was established in 1964. The institute is accredited with A Grade by NAAC and approved by the AICTE. PRSU University, through its 29 teaching departments or schools of study and around 150 affiliated colleges, offers PG, UG, PG diploma, certificate, diploma, doctoral, and post-doctoral courses to students across Management, Science, Arts, Law, Commerce, and other streams. PRSU allows candidates to join UG courses directly based on merit. The university accepts Class 12 scores for the same, provided the candidate is eligible for his/her course. however, for PG and PG Diploma programmes along with certain UG courses, PRSU accepts national level entrance exams and PRSU PG entrance exam scores. The course- specific entrance exams and their syllabus are available on the official portal. Students are advised to check the portal for the same.

To be eligible to apply for MSc at PRSU, candidates must pass Class 12 and hold a UG degree. They must pass graduation in BSc or any other stream with obtaining minimum 45% aggregate. Furthermore, candidates will also have to submit the proof of educational documents at the time of filling the application form. In case of not meeting the eligibility requirements for the course, the application can stand cancelled.

Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University offers UG, PG, Diploma, and doctoral-level courses. Thus, the minimum age limit is 18 and the maximum age limit is 32, approximately. Moreover, PRSU also gives age relaxation to candidates belonging to SC/ST and Other Backward Classes as per the guidelines of the government. It must be noted that the age limit varies from course to course. Candidates also have to provide the relevant documents as age proof for verification purposes.
