B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2026

I am satisfied with college because I learned a lot more skills and the library is open 24X7.
Placements: Top recruiting companies visit our campus. The highest salary package offered is 32 LPA. The university is doing its best to get more companies.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good. The quality of food in the mess is average. Sports and games are excellent. Wi-Fi is good. There is an auditorium where you can go and watch anything.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and well-qualified. You have to maintain attendance. Exams are average. You can easily qualify for the exam if you attend every class. The course is as per the curriculum they passed at the start of the semester.

Review of Rayat and Bahra Institute of Engineering and Bio-Technology.
Placements: Placements for our batch were not much good compared to our senior batches. Mostly, the companies offered call centre profiles and low salary packages. They give us jobs by taking some amount from us for security. The college has a placement cell, but it didn't help us much.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good. The campus has an open area with greenery in abundance. Bus facilities were available for pick and drop. Food served in the cafeteria and mess was good. Classrooms were well-ventilated. Labs have the equipment required for our projects. We were satisfied with it.
Faculty: Faculty members were good. They were very helpful both in professional and personal ways. They will try to go out of their way to help the students. I am not much satisfied with the course. We were not able to understand lots of subjects because of the bad teaching procedure. Practical exposure to the subjects was not provided.
Other: Our college stands at the top in conducting fests and events. A lot of events, college fests and science fests were organised once or twice each semester. Most of the students try to participate in it and enjoy.

Rayat and Bahra university ( Mohali campus ) review.
Placements: Well I graduated in 2014, so I can only talk about the scenario which was back in 2014. Only IT companies used to visit our campus. That too about 4-5 companies. I was fortunate enough to be placed in the very first company to visit, which was UST Global.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure wise the college had a foorball ground. Good canteens, Labs aligned with the specializations and had the latest industry machinery. In house stationary shops help you with last minute photocopies and printouts. Overall the campus is neat and clean which was very well maintained.
Faculty: The course curriculum was at par with other engineering colleges. There were 8 semesters in all and each semester having around 7-8 subjects. Emphasis was given ti theoretical as well as practical learning. Talking about faculty, well some of them were really qualified, good and some not that good. Industry exposure was one thing which I suppose the college could do better in. The course curriculum was definitely useful but then again only to those whi really wanted to learn and had interests in the given subjects. At the end I would suggest to first see if you really are interested in engineering? Only after that think about the college.

It is a good college with a good return on investment.
Placements: Placements in our college are good as most of the students get placed. But the preference was given to the PG students, not to the UG students. Many companies like Wipro, TCS, etc., visited the campus to recruit students. Teachers train the students to crack the interviews conducted by companies.
Infrastructure: The college is spread over a huge area, and the arena is good. There is a separate lab for each department. Classrooms are well ventilated, and everyone will enjoy the classroom environment. The college provides free Wi-Fi facility for students. Students can enjoy sports and play games on the ground. There is a huge cafeteria in the college where students enjoy their food and snacks in their free time.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and supportive. They also conduct additional classes for weak students. All the faculty members are educated and have good knowledge in their respective field. They use good methods to teach students so that students can understand easily.
Other: Every year, the college conducts annual fest and many events where students enjoy a lot and showcase their talents. Apart from that, the college also conducts an industrial visit.

Placements in 2015 were quite good.
Placements: Many companies like Wipro, Sapient, Ericsson, Aon Hewitt, etc., visited the campus to offer placements to our batch. Around 50% of the students were placed in different companies. Mainly, IT companies visited the campus and students were placed as software engineers in coding and testing fields. There was a placement cell too which helped us in preparing for placements.
Infrastructure: The college is surrounded by lush green grounds where any sport can be played. The college has multiple 2-storeyed buildings. There was a separate building for labs with proper equipment and apparatus. A canteen and shops were available on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were quite young and lacked experience in teaching. Otherwise, the staff members were helpful. They used traditional teaching methods. The student to teacher ratio was around 50:1. We did not get any industry exposure. The course curriculum was a bit helpful.

Very Good infrastructure and quite a good faculty.
Placements: The placements are quite good in this college however I didn't get placed because of my backlogs. But eventually there are no companies for Mechanical branch and few for ECE. The CS and IT companies are alot here in our college I think it is a good decision if you are from CSE feild.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and still building. We have a Huge library at the center of the University and playgrounds for almost every game however there are no AC in classrooms. And also hostle room are too small and stinky. College took more from you but giv3 you less like Wi-Fi speed and quality of food.
Faculty: Faculty are the most important part of any institution but if you are in RAyat bahra don't depend on faculty. You should be intelligent enough to study on your own. Mechanical and CSE faculty are pretty good but for ECE they call here the worst faculty you will ever encounter in your life.
Other: There is tech fest every year during nov and sports fest every year in march. I don't think there is any other big event to be mentioned here.

Rayat and Bahra review. College campus that encompasses every course.
Placements: Our Senior batch was placed fine. Scarce placements. Well for batch 2015 pass out placements were scarce in comparison to other colleges of the area. Local companies came for placements. No big names except for Wipro. 100% placements never happens, but unfortunately for our college only 10% of students get placed. They always put on boards but never accomplish that task. In comparison to other college like Chandigarh University. They have great placements records. College didn't have a stable procedure for the placements. Even placement cell was to be run by students with only one head official given by college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good of Rayat and Bahra. Classrooms were quite good and lot was under construction also. Where as it only lacked in providing good labs. Equipment were not available in lab. Rest college had a big library with more than enough books for subjects. Medical facilities were satisfactory too. There was a nurse available in hostel for 24 hrs. And a dispensary with 3 -4 doctors were available in college. College had adequate space for sports and games. Gymnasium was available as well.
Faculty: Teachers were either pass out from same college or were students of other colleges. Only a few teachers were good enough. Rest were just salaried employees. No teaching methods were used apart from lecture. Teaching quality never mattered because in end exams were supposed to be clear on our own. Student to teacher ratio would have been 20:1 we had to arrange on our own for industry training. As far as circulluum is concerned. The engineering study that is being taught in colleges is 30 year back from the present ongoing scenario. So when a student pass out from college he has no exposure to the industry.
Other: Annual Fests and technical fests were organised with great fervor. Campus surroundings were beautiful a little away from hustle and bustle of city. Scholarships were not provided. College was well connected by road, railway and airport. No extracurricular activities happened nor were promoted.

I am satisfied because of faculty, placement is very good in 2017, infrastructure is very good.
Placements: The placements are good. Atleast 20 companies are coming every year. Sapient, Wipro, Capgemini are some major companies that came to pick the scholors from our university. Almost every student who have clear their academics get placement in one or other company In our batch the placements were atleast 80% which were good than our seniors who got 60% placements the highest package in our batch is 6.4 lac/ annum Avg. Salary offered is 25k/ month Tester, developer are the roles offered to students 60% students got intern from college the highest stipend is 12k/ student the lowest is 2.5k/ student Avg. Is 7k / student Yes there is a placement drive Our college train us for placements, take our classes and teach us how to. Clear aptitudd and interviews so we can say that it is quite useful.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is more than better. There are many courses like engineering, hotel management, law, pharmacy, BDS etc. Classroom are slope wise and Wi-Fi facility is there Labs are for every subject with proper equipments And hostel facility is also available. AC hostels as well as non AC hostels are available Every room has attached bathroom A common library that opens 24 hours every day. There is a medical facility available Playing ground is there for football, basketball, volleyball and cricket. Cantines MHC and some other food shops are there. Food is quite good that they serve I never faced any kinda issue during my tenure.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful but not all the same scenerio is with the qualification and knowledgeable but overall the quality of teaching is more than average The smart classes are provided to students studnet to facility ratio is 240 student per teacher Yes they gave us industry exposure Every month they take us for industrial tour.
Other: Our college organise technical fest, cultural events every year Campus crowd is more than average, whole campus has Wi-Fi facility. Campus surrounding is Good Scholarship is been provided to scholors who got more than 85% in any semester Extracurricular activities like extempore, games etc. Are provided.
