Review of Rayat Bahra University.
Placements: The percentage of students that got placed is approximately 60%-70%. I think the highest package is 5 LPA and the lowest package is 1.5 LPA. The average package is 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course was Eicher, Royal Enfield, Mahindra, etc. According to me, every student got an opportunity for internships but it is up to them whether they join that internships or not.
Infrastructure: There is a central library from where you can issue books for some time and you can sit there and study till 4:00 PM, if you are a day scholar and for hostel student it is open 24/7 and provided with Wi-Fi in library. Classrooms have infrastructure and sufficient space where approximately 35-40 students can sit properly. Now if we talk about hostel, good rooms are available in hostel but mess food is not worth it according to the payment we have made for mess.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified as almost every teacher has done their Ph.D. They are friendly so we can ask anything if we don't understand until we are facing issues to understand that thing. Teachers try their best to help us. Course curriculum is relevant as there are some additional subjects which make us ready for industry.

Placements were not up to the mark.
Placements: I have done B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and passed in 2017. About 10-15% of the students were only placed in our course. The highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month and the average salary offered was Rs 20,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. Top companies like Tech Mahindra and Ericson visited the campus. The top role offered is customer advisory. The highest salary package offered in our course was 3.6 LPA and the average salary package offered was 2.4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA. About 10% of students from our course got an internship in companies like Tech Mahindra and Ericson.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs were good at our institute. The library was great, as it had a lot of books related to all the courses. Wi-Fi was not up to the mark as it doesn't provide a proper speed. The hostel was fine as it was cleaned regularly. It has a lot of canteens for the students. Medical facilities were also good, and the college has their ambulance for an emergency. The campus has almost all the sports and gym facility available in the institute.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified and experienced enough to clear the doubts of the students. The teaching quality was also good. The course curriculum is relevant. And it makes students industry-ready, depending upon the quality of the students.

Overall, it is a good college.
Placements: As the students prefer doing masters after bachelors, placements are provided to the students of masters and not bachelors. Students do go for internships during their bachelor's degree in order to get industry exposure. This is organised by the placement cell only.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good enough. Proper classrooms were available which were equipped with projectors, air conditioners and good furniture. A library and a dispensary were available, but no gym or gaming area was present. Playgrounds were available for students.
Faculty: The teachers were good, knowledgeable, and highly qualified. Quality of teaching was very good. Industry exposure was provided to make the students learn the topics more easily. The course module made by teachers was very easy and relaxing.

My experience as a student of mechanical engineering at Rayat Bahra.
Placements: Even for the mechanical branch students, they offer placements in the IT field, which was very disappointing. Few had to get off-campus placements, and few went off to foreign countries for higher studies. So placements are okay in this college but are not strictly for mechanical.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The library is well-managed. Classrooms are good and clean. Workshops are well-maintained and have all the tools in it. The teachers also provide good assistance on the tools. There are two gardens in the college.
Faculty: For mechanical students, it is a good college as the teachers are good and are well-educated. Discipline is well-maintained in this college. The faculty are well-known and have good knowledge about mechanical subjects. Polytechnic, MBA and law faculty are also good at this college.
Other: I was from Ropar campus, and hence I was greeted with students from nearby areas. I had some trouble in interacting with the crowd as a Chandigarhian, but I did mix up in less time.

The best college in Chandigarh.
Placements: Our university is known for its placements where maximum number of students gets selected in different companies. Many companies come to our college every year. And many students get selected. Many reputed companies come to the college and takes students with them the university has a reputation of 100% placement guarantee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. Wi-Fi is available in every corner of the college. Labs are fully equipped with instruments. Classrooms have maximum number of benches. Medical facility is also available in the college. A big ground is available in the college.
Faculty: Teachers of the university are well qualified, they are very helpful to students and are available every time to help the students with study problem. They have a good knowledge of their subjects and are understandable to the students. Faculty ratio of the university is very high. There are 1-2 industrial exposures in a semester.
Other: The crowd of the campus is very good. Every semester there is an event in college. Fests are organised every semester. The campus is also connected with the international companies like Microsoft and Google.

Average college with good courses and infrastructure.
Placements: There will be no placements for the mechanical students as only one company came there instead of having their own automotive cluster of companies. I am very disappointed with the management team as they promised to bring many companies, but they just fooled us. Yes, there were placements of other branches, I want to lie that some were placed, with very good packages.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good as everything is planned with a good sewage system and very good hostels. I would definitely recommend the hostel here. It has very nice classrooms and labs with air conditioning system, a very big playground and a very nice park to sit and refresh yourself. Also, there are two ATMs on the campus.
Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified, but some teachers lack in teaching because of their experience. The teachers here are strict and nearly takes 100% classes. Majority of the courses are available, and all have placements except a few like the mechanical engineering. Overall it is good.
Other: Every year, an event is organised by the college staff, and many events take place here like the science festival and many other events. The campus crowd here is good as there is a lot of areas to roam which is connected just near to NH-21, so easy for families and students to reach college. The management team here also provides a scholarship to the meritorious students.

Overall, it is a mixed experience. The quality of education needs to be improved.
Placements: In 2013, companies like IBM and Infosys visited the college for on-campus placements. Average package offered was around 4 LPA. Companies recruited students from CSE, and IT trades only, whereas mechanical placements lagged. Quality of placements, as well as studies, needs to be improved a lot.
Infrastructure: Overall, the college has good infrastructure, but the conditions of washrooms were not up to the mark. Computer labs were fully equipped, and mechanical workshops lack basic infrastructure. Prospectus mentioned that campus was fully Wi-Fi. However, the signals were weak.
Faculty: Experienced faculty were available for the first year. However, as we progressed, quality of faculty was not good though they are experienced. The course curriculum was a balance of practical and theoretical aspects. Student to faculty ratio was around 100:1. There is very less industry exposure and needs improvement and in this aspect.

Placements in the college are good.
Placements: Placements were good in the college. Many students were selected and are waiting for the calls from the companies. Many national, international and MNC companies come to our college, and many students were recruited in the placement drives. Many students got calls from the companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. It has big classrooms, Wi-Fi is all over the college. The campus is huge and the buildings are in good condition. The library is big, and many books are available in the college. The medical facility is also available in our college. There is an ambulance available for emergencies. Sports and games are highly encouraged in our college.
Faculty: Our college has one of the best faculty in Punjab, who are helping us in every condition. The quality of teaching is very good in the college. Faculty members are available for every subject in the college. Our college takes the students to various industries in every semester at least once or twice.
Other: In every semester, there is a fest in our college.
