RGPV MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2024
At the PG level, RGPV Bhopal offers ME and MTech programmes under the University Institute of Technology. The duration of both programmes is two years each. RGPV ME and MTech admissions are based on a valid score in GATE, followed by DTE MP Counselling.
ME and MTech are offered in seven and five specialisations, respectively. The eligibility criteria for both the programmes are the same. Find it below:

RGPV admission to most of the courses is primarily entrance-based. However, the university does offer a few courses, admission to which is completely merit-based. Hence, candidates can certainly get admission to RGPV courses without an entrance exam, given that they are seeking admissions to programmes with the merit-based selection.
RGPV M.Tech admission is subject to fulfilment of a specified set of admission criteria. According to the eligibility criteria, the minimum marks required in graduation ranges between 50% and 60%. Admissions to the programme are entrance-based. Hence not only should a candidate secure the minimum marks in Graduation, they are also required to have a valid score in the accepted entrance exams. RGPV accepts the score obtained by the students in various national and state-level entrance tests such as, GATE, MPPET, etc. In case a candidate does not get a seat at the institute, they can go for other colleges offering the course. The fee for the MTech course at RGPV ranges from INR 20,000 to INR 2.50 lakh. The RGPV offers two to five-year M.Tech courses to students across Computer Science and Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and other streams. To get admission to MTech the students must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50-60% total and must qualify for JEE Mains and GATE.
Yes, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya indeed offers various scholarships to students under different categories. The university provides both Central government and State government scholarship schemes to financially weaker and meritorious students. Some of the scholarships are as follows:
