Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) - Batch of 2021
4.0
Honest review of RGUHS - Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
Placements: About 50-55 percent of students get placed in my course. Top recruiting companies are Cipla, Biocon, Medanta, Apollo Hospital, Narayana Health, etc. Placement rate is 80-85 percent. Average package offered here is 4 LPA-5 LPA and the highest package is 14 LPA. Students get jobs through internships and the government. Students also attempt exams like PG or NEET to get hospital recruitment.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are quite excellent. We have well-furnished classes with a digital board, specialized laboratory, computer lab, and IT support for students. There is a large library with digital access and an auditorium with modern technology. Hostel and canteen facilities are excellent in this college. Gym and sports facilities are also available. Indoor and outdoor sports are provided. Medical facilities are quite good.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-educated and qualified. They are professionals, clinic experts, doctors, and researchers. This university provides a standardized curriculum for all affiliated colleges. The exams held here are quite tough, and the pattern includes internal assessment and theory. Focus is on theory, practical, and viva.
Other: I personally chose this course because of respect and social impact and also for strong job security. And this course gives me practical and real-world learning. It provides global opportunities and financial growth. I personally like everything about my course, and there is no need to improve anything. My college doesn't organise any big central cultural fest. You can expect an annual cultural fest, medical conference, sports meet, freshers, and farewell. Campus life is not very lively, as most of the crowd is serious and career-focused.

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2028
Offered by Navodaya Medical College
4.4
The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: In the medical field, there is nothing like placements. Usually, unemployment is very low in this field, so you will get a job even with a simple MBBS degree. But to earn much more money, you need to do an MD, which will really help you earn more in the future. In Navodaya, the patient flow is really low compared to other colleges, so you will get very limited experience here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is really good. The hostels are also really good. We have one of the biggest libraries in Karnataka. No doubt they spent crores on the infrastructure. We have no Wi-Fi facility. The mess food is really good here. Both veg and non-veg food is available. We get chicken biryani and ice cream every Sunday, so the food here is actually good.
Faculty: Teachers are good here. The professors teach very nicely, but it totally depends on you how you will study. Self-study is more important, and you have to be behind professors to get more knowledge instead of sitting idle. We have internals once every two months, and the passing criteria is above 50. This really prepares us for our finals. They even take monthly/weekly tests sometimes. These tests are really useful as they include RGUGHS-style questions.
Other: MBBS is a very serious profession. I wanted to become a doctor ever since I was small, so I chose this profession. The best thing about this course is that you will earn well in the future. It indeed takes a very long time to finally settle, but it is really worth the wait. I have seen a few of my relatives earning more in a month than other people do in a year. On top of that, doctors get a job no matter what, so it's a stable profession. Apart from all this, you can also experience fests and extracurricular activities.

It is a good college academically. The crowd, sports, and infrastructure aren't that good.
Placements: There is nothing like placement in a medical college. Of course, you get to do your internship, which everyone does. You have to write NEET PG or apply for just an MBBS job, and studying in KIMS might help, but finally, your marks speak everything for the future.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure - If you didn't know, there are two campuses: one for the hospital and the other for the college. All theory classes of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years happen in the latter. The former is for clinical postings we do after the 1st year and theory classes of clinical subjects. The hospital is quite old, and the infrastructure isn't that good. The college is pretty new, and the infrastructure is good, with new hostels being built. The old hostel, especially for boys, is really bad. Sports and games facilities are lacking.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely good. They are highly qualified and experienced. The teaching quality is also good. It is the best college to pass RGUKT, in my opinion, because all teachers know how to ace the papers. Internals are pretty awakening. The pass percentage is about 90%.

Q:   What is the RGUHS revaluation procedure?
    A:

To apply for a revaluation or a soft copy of your answer script at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences you must submit an application through your college principal within 10 days of the result declaration. The fee is typically INR 1,500 per theory paper (fee may vary).

Q:   What was the RGUHS NEET cutoff closing round?
    A:
Below are the past 3 years NEET Round 4 Closing Rank (General-All India) for the students who are planning to give the exam:

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)231581647718442
Q:   Does RGUHS Bangalore accept NEET score?
    A:

RGUHS Bangalore uses NEET scores for admissions to many of its health sciences courses like MBBS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing, MD, MS, MDS, and some Paramedical programs. But it's not clear if they use NEET scores for the B.Sc program. Students interested in the B.Sc programme at RGUHS Bangalore should check the admission requirements and reach out to the university for clarity.

Q:   Is a score of 670 good for admission to MBBS at RGUHS?
    A:

Having a score of 670 in the NEET UG exams is a good score and would be considered competitive among the admissions for nearly all MBBS programs in different medical colleges including the RGUHS.
Places in MBBS programs in India are highly sought after and just like the rest of the country, are determined by the NEET UG results. The actual number of points that will be required can change from year to year based on a few supplementary factors including the number of applicants and the degree of difficulty of the exam, thus with a score of 670 usually applicant will be eligible for interview at the top medical colleges.

Also, you need to plan ahead of time for the seat availability and class position for the class registration. 670 must be perceived as a good one but keep in mind that there are other factors coming into the process of the admission.

Totally, our college is very good both academically and in cultural programmes.
Placements: All of them are placed in packages of about 6-7 LPA. Almost 100 percent of the students got an internship from our course medical officer in the PHC centre, which is offered by our course. The highest package offered is 10 LPA, and the lowest package is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. There is a digital library present, which has more books and also computer labs have very good infrastructure and maintenance. Classrooms have sufficient seating capacity and have digital boards, which are helpful for learning purposes. The quality of food is nice in the hostel, and also in the canteen. There are various sports on campus, such as badminton, cricket, volleyball, throwball and basketball.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful in every aspect, and they are all well-qualified and have very good knowledge. They also clarify our doubts regarding the subject and any topics, if necessary. The curriculum is very relevant, it makes the students ready. The semester exams are moderate level, and the pass percentage is 90 percent.
Other: There is the best possibility of getting a job after completing this course, so I would recommend this course.

    Good faculty, average infrastructure.
Placements: In a medical college, we generally don't look up to the placement, but rather what percentage selection is there for NEET PG, and how good a doctor you become with what knowledge you come out with. With that regard, I would say without hesitation that many of our seniors who have passed out are always securing good ranks and good branches in PG.
Infrastructure: The college provides facilities like AC classrooms, digital screens, practical labs, and a library. The AC would stop working during the summer, and the administration does not care at all. Our batch in the first year of college did not have AC in the classroom during the summer months of Bangalore (Feb-May). Digital screens have recently changed in 2025, so those are actually really nice. Practical labs have space for about 60 people at one time, but they are not that well-maintained. The library is one of the best ones I have experienced. Note: The entire college campus does not provide any source of drinking.
Faculty: Teachers are quite experienced and knowledgeable, so no complaints on that. Exams have also been taken sufficiently. The semester exams are of nearly the same difficulty level as university exams, so that gives us a good passing percentage in the university exams.
Other: The college fest would always be held in broad sunlight between 10 AM and 1 PM. So get ready to get tanned always. You would never get a single DJ night in your entire college life. Not even on your freshers because even that would take place in the auditorium around the same time. Freshers' Day was one of the most horrible ones I have seen. I had high expectations, but the programme was the worst and could not get any worse. The college administration would force you to attend all the functions in the name of attendance.

    A rollercoaster ride of MBBS.
Placements: As such, we don't have placements in MBBS; we can work as medical officers, but mostly everyone chooses to do post-graduation after MBBS, after which we go into placements. Since our college is very reputable at the state and national levels, we get placed into good hospitals. I'm not sure about the packages. As a medical officer, one can earn Rs. 62,000 per month in the beginning.
Infrastructure: We have 2 libraries, one with books and the other one is a digital library. Both of them are very well-equipped with a vast amount of books and medical magazines. Classrooms are very good. The labs in our college are very advanced. The hostel is nearby and has all the required amenities.
Faculty: Teachers are very professional, and they have vast knowledge of the subject. Some of them are even authors of some famous textbooks. The curriculum is very difficult due to its vastness. One learns to manage it as time passes by. The exam times are the most pressurizing part of our course. It is highly stressful.

College is good, you can also give it a try.
Placements: As I choose MBBS, many will get their job easily, so it's not an issue, and also after completing PG, you will get good offers from different hospitals and also medical colleges. The faculty members will also help with research and publishing it.
Infrastructure: College has better lab facilities, and classrooms are also good enough. Direction hall is also good. They also have good hospital facilities. Hostels are also good, they have 2 sharing and 3 sharing facilities, they also have mess facilities, and everything is good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, they are qualified, and they are knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. Curriculum is relevant, and the pass percentage is according to university and NMC norms, and exams will be held and strictly followed. Got very good faculty members and labs. You will have a great time here.
Placements: They assure good placement in different hospitals, and they run a hospital too where you get to practice. They had a good patient flow where you get to know about the new cases. It was a huge hospital with labs, and you had an internship salary of about Rs 25,000.
Infrastructure: Our college provided good hostel infrastructure. Good food given was worthy. The building may be old but the rooms were good. You had a spacious bathroom and dining hall with good amount of food. The environment around was very good, and you would have study rooms in hostels.
Faculty: Faculty members were very good. The curriculum included all types of activities. You had three internals in a year. You will be having lab exams. You will have all the fests and celebrations in one year. You will have a wonderful year ahead and you will have a good job.
