The NEET exam is conducted offline in pen and paper mode. The NEET exam pattern is as such-

• There are 180 MCQs.
• 45 are from Physics, 45 from Chemistry and 90 from Biology (Botany and Zoology). 
• Each question is of 4 marks.
• The total marks are 720.
• The exam duration is 3 hours.

The NEET 2027 exam pattern might be changed to online mode of exam. The official changes will be known through the release of information bulletin.

Yes, the NEET 2025 exam pattern was changed. NTA announced the change in the exam pattern on January 25, 2025, to enable candidates prepare accordingly. The optional questions were removed. There will be bonus marking or extra marks awarded to NEET candidates only if there is a discrepancy in the NEET answer key. Clarifying the same, NTA has stated:

1. If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.

2. If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

3. If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is dropped then all candidates who have appeared will be given four marks  (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

No, the National Testing Agency (NTA) does not release NEET answer keys and question papers together. While releasing the NEET provisional result, NTA releases candidates' OMR sheets. The final NEET answer key is released in the form of a single PDF document, carrying the keys for all sets of the NEET question papers. The hardcopy of the NEET question papers are given by NTA on the day of the exam. Being a paper-pencil based test, candidates are allowed to carry the question papers outside the exam hall. In general, NTA releases the NEET question papers of previous years on its official website few months after the exam is conducted. NTA has released the NEET 2023 question papers of English and Hindi languages. However, the NEET 2022 question papers are not available on the official website yet. It is expected that the question papers of NEET 2022 will be released soon.
