However, candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / GATE / UPSC or any other recognised competitive exam are exempted from the entrance test. Additionally, it is mandatory for all the candidates to clear the interview. A step-by-step process of admission is as follows:1: Check out the eligibility criteria. For PhD, students need to have a master's degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 55% aggregate.2: The application process for PhD admission at SASTRA University is completely online. Candidates can find the application form on official website of the university.3: Submit the application fee. The same is INR 500 for PhD.4: Submit all the required documents. A list of all the required documents for PhD admission at SASTRA Deemed University are as follows:Scanned copy of mark sheetsScanned copy of degree certificateScanned copy of passport-size photographResearch proposalTwo letters of recommendation5: After application, candidates are required to appear for the entrance exam which usually is conducted in the month of June.
