You are eligible to get into those universities. Previous years cut off score for JEE have been around 80-85%. But make sure that you have a well rounded profile and score well in the performance tests and interviews.

Hello Raghul R, no, Sastra deemed to be university does not prescribe any cutoff for admission. What this means is that a student with any percentage or any ranking can see admission by applying. Of course it's different story whether such student will get admission or not because it depends on the number of seats available and number of students who have applied. To help you gain knowledge further I am attaching a link that you give you all the required information about admission to engineering in Sastra deemed to be university.

Talking about Sastra University BIOTECH Students can apply to TCS and other IT companies, but they also have companies that specialise in the BIOTECH branch. Nestle and Dr. Reddy's lab are two of them. They do have a good chance to work for their core businesses, like Dr. Reddy's lab, or IT firms like TCS. Everything depends on how well you perform. So Good Luck.

The admission to SASTRA University for B.Tech courses is based on the SASTRA Engineering Entrance Examination SEEE or JEE Main scores and the cutoff for the particular course and category. The cutoff for ECE may vary each year and depend on various factors such as the number of applicants and the availability of seats. However, based on your rank in Stream 1 (10946), it may be difficult to secure admission to ECE at SASTRA University, as the cutoff rank for ECE is generally lower than this. With a rank of 2901 in Stream 2, you may have a better chance of securing admission to ECE, but it ultimately depends on the availability of seats and the cutoff for your category. It's important to note that the cutoffs can vary each year, and the final admission decision is subject to the discretion of the university. You may check the previous year's cutoffs and consult with the university's admission department to get a better idea of your chances of admission. Additionally, you can also consider applying to other colleges and universities that offer ECE and have a similar or lower cutoff.

In first counselling, college will allocate seats upto 2k rank in stream 1. If the aspirants in that counselling left SASTRA for better opportunities. Then there will be a chance for you. All the CSE, ECE, ICT, IT, seats will be filled below the 1k-1.5k rank for sure. So all you have is MECH, CIVIL, EEE, EIE, BIOTECH AND CHEMICAL and many more. These have less demand from the past years and the seats in these Branches are vacant till the last round of counselling. First know your strengths. Don't join in any branch thinking all are the same. Decide the branch first. You can study B Tech in any college that doesn't matter. There are a lot of sources in the web which are ready to explain the subject absolutely for free. It's purely based on your interest. Please don't do B.Tech just for the sake of degree.

SASTRA University is far better/more recognised than SASTRA University. You would have better opportunities/placements at Anna University. Anna University stands in top 10 list of best Engineering colleges in India, where SASTRA stands somewhere between 40 to 60. With that said SASTRA is not bad either, I am a SASTRA alum but given a chance, I would do my engineering at Anna.

Day 1: a maximum of 1300 people would attend the counselling (considering 1 rank is given to multiple candidates) and end up taking close to 80% of the seats. Day 2: first slot must pick the remaining 20%. Hardly any seats are left for the remaining slots. Day 3: Outstation candidates no need to attend. Please check the website before you plan on attending the counselling on Day 3. This is helpful for candidates from Trichy & Tanjore Quota only. If you want to join at any cost, there is an option through management quota for which you should have applied well in advance. Good luck!
