MDS in Oral Medicine

The following requirements must be met in order for candidates to be admitted to Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) Master of Dental Surgery program:

Educational Requirement: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from an accredited institution or institute in India or overseas is required of candidates.
The Dental Council of India (DCI) ought to accept the BDS degree.
Internship: Following the receipt of their BDS degree, candidates are required to have successfully completed a year-long rotating internship.
The internship must be finished by the date the institute specifies, if not before.
Test of Eligibility and Entrance for Postgraduate Dental Courses (NEET MDS), administered by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), must have been passed by candidates.

SIMATS does not offer a direct admission to B.Tech. An entrance exam is required.
The admission process for B.Tech is as follows:

• The JEE Mains and TNCE exams are used to provide admission at SIMATS
• Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their enterance exam scores are required to attend counselling sessions where they can select the B.Tech specialisation they want.
• The final merit list is prepared using factors other than JEE, such as 12th standard marks.

SIMATS Chennai admission process is based on both entrance test and merit list set by the university. To apply for UG courses, candidates must have atleast passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with 50% aggregate. For admission to UG courses, candidates must appear NEET-UG exam conducted by NTA. 

Admission to MBBS, BTech, MBA, M.Tech courses is done on the basis of NEET-UG, TNEA, TANCET, GATE exams respectively.

About 150 organizations, including major recruiters like Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, L&T Infotech, HPCL, PayPal, and others, took part in the 2023 B.Tech placements. 
Regarding MBBS placements: In 2023, almost 60 prestigious medical facilities and corporations hired recent MBBS graduates. Among the top employers were Vasan Healthcare, Apollo Hospitals, Kauvery Hospital, Fortis Healthcare, Manipal Hospitals, and more.
For BDS placements: In 2023, Saveetha's BDS graduates were hired by over 40 dental clinics, chains, and hospitals. Apollo White Dental, Clove Dental, Axiss Dental, Sabka Dentist, Tooth Hub Dental Care, etc. were among the principal recruiters.
For Paramedical and Nursing: More than 25 large hospitals employed applicants with backgrounds in physiotherapy, nursing.
