SGT University MDS Eligibility & Highlights 2025
SGT University MDS is a three-programme, divided into semester patterns. Some of the specialisations, in which the course is offered are Periodontology, Public Health Dentistry, Oral Medicine and Radiology, etc. SGT University MDS course admission is done based on merit in the NEET MDS exam. Candidates shall be admitted to the programme through a centralised counselling process.
Further, aspirants should fulfil the minimum eligibility requirement prescribed by SGT University to take the national level. The required qualification shall be the same as that for the accepted exam as mentioned below:
Eligibility Criteria: The qualifications required for a candidate to become eligible for admission in MDS courses are:

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognised university/institute recognised by the DCI

Registered with the Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council (SDC) (permanent/provisional)

They must have completed 12 months of compulsory rotatory internship on or before the due date

Yes, the NEET 2025 exam pattern was changed. NTA announced the change in the exam pattern on January 25, 2025, to enable candidates prepare accordingly. The optional questions were removed. Instead of 200 questions, there were 180 questions. The total duration of NEET 2025 was reduced from 200 minutes to 180 minutes or three hours now.

SGT University MDS Application Process
The university application form is made available in both online and offline modes. Aspirants are required to submit the application form before the prescribed deadline. To fill out the SGT University MDS application form online, the steps to be followed are:

Shortlisting of Students
In the next step, the applications are shortlisted based on scores in the NEET MDS exam. A cutoff or selection list shall be released by the authorities to declare the minimum score required for selection to admission in MDS courses.

Finally, selected students need to participate in the counselling round. After all the formalities are completed, the enrolment is done successfully.

The NEET MDS 2025 application process began on February 18, 2025, 3 PM. The last date to fill and submit the application form was March 10, 2025, 11.55 PM.
The NEET MDS 2025 application form was available only in online mode. Candidates have to fill the online application form, upload images and documents and pay the application fees in an online mode, with credit/debit card or net banking. Once the NEET MDS 2025 application form was filled out and submitted, NBE sent an application confirmation to candidates.

Yes, the university may reserve certain seats (25%) for candidates, who belong to the state of Haryana. Additionally, out of 25%, the 10% of seats are for SC category candidates. For seat allotment under reserved categories, aspirants are required to submit the category certificates. The SGT University placement details for the 2023 drive have not been released as of now. However, the NIRF report 2024 is out. As per the report, 29 UG (4-year) Agriculture, 57 BDS, 36 MDS, 41 BPharma, and 15 MPharma students were placed in the 2023 drive. Further, 57 PG (3-year) Medical students were placed. The median package offered to UG (4-year) Agriculture students was INR 3.50 LPA. For Pharmacy courses, the median package ranged between INR 4.08 LPA and INR 4.32 LPA. For BDS and MDS courses, the median package offered during SGT University placement 2023 was INR 7 LPA and INR 10 LPA, respectively.

SGT University MDS 2025 FAQs
Yes, SGT University offer admission to NEET-qualified candidates in the MDS programmes. Hence, the aspirants need to have a valid score of NEET MDS. There is no other provision for selection to the PG programmes. Candidates with the required score in the exam have to further go through a centralised counselling procedure for seat allotment.
For MDS course at SGT University, the minimum age requirement is 20 years. Apart from this, it is also crucial that the aspirant possess a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a college or university that has received DCI accreditation. In addition, the applicant must be a permanent or temporary member of either the State Dental Council (SDC) or the Dental Council of India (DCI).
NEET MDS is a computer-based exam of three hours duration with two time-bound sections. Part A was for 75 minutes and had 100 questions. Part B had 140 questions to be solved in105 minutes. The timing of the exam was 2 PM to 5 PM. There were a total of 240 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from the NEET MDS syllabus. Each question has four marks and there will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. The following table brings the overview and structure of the NEET MDS exam pattern.

The NEET MDS 2025 exam pattern has been revised from last year.
The NBEMS conducted NEET MDS exam on May 2, 2026. The exam was held online in the computer-based test mode. The MDS exam was of 3 hours.
No. NEET PG 2025 exam was held on August 3, 2025 in single shift. On May 30, 2025, Supreme Court directed NBe to make arrangements to conduct exam in single shift. Candidates have to register online to submit application form for NEET PG 2024. As per the existing NEET PG pattern, the question paper comprises 200 multiple choice questions and candidates get 3.5 hours to answer them.

The total tuition fees for BTech is INR 3.5 Lacs - INR 13 lakh at SGT University Gurgaon. Selected candidates have to pay the course fees to confirm their seat. Aspirants must pay the fees in the mode accepted by the university. Students with domicile of Haryana can also get fee concession.
