SGT University offers scholarships to meritorious students in the form of fee concessions at the time of admission and in subsequent years. Candidates of UG (except for the Faculties of Medicine & Health Sciences, Dental Sciences, Indian Medical System) and PG courses are eligible for 20% to 100% fee concession based on their merit scores. Apart from this, SGT University offers additional scholarship benefits to students under specific categories.
SGT University Scholarship Types & Criteria
SGT University offers merit-based scholarships to the students of UG and PG courses. The details of all the scholarships offered to the deserving students are given below:
- Scholarships for UG courses:
The scholarships will be admissible to students of UG courses (except for the courses offered under the Faculties of Medicine & Health Sciences, Indian Medical System, and Dental Sciences) on a merit basis. Scholarships for the students of lateral entry will also be awarded as per the same criteria.
Criteria: The percentage for the scholarships will be calculated under PCB/M/CS and English as compulsory subjects or the best of four subjects with English as one of the compulsory subjects. Subsidiary subjects like Drawing, Music, and Physical Education will not be considered for calculating the percentage. The criteria for these scholarships are mentioned in the below table:

- Scholarships for PG courses:
The scholarship will be given to the courses offered under the Faculties of Commerce & Management, Behavioural Sciences, Nursing (including NPCC), Physiotherapy, Allied Health Sciences, Mass Communication & Media Technology, Education, Law, Fashion & Design, Agricultural Sciences, and Science. Candidates pursuing MSc (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Environmental Science), Medicine & Health Sciences, and SGT College of Pharmacy will not be considered for these scholarships.
Criteria: Merit in the last qualifying examination i.e. the UG degree will be considered for the award of scholarship. The criteria for these scholarships are mentioned in the below table:

- Category-wise Scholarships
Apart from merit-based scholarships, students can also avail of SGT University scholarships under other categories like Defence and girl students. Mentioned below are the category-wise scholarships offered at the university:
1. Girl Students:
-Up to 5% concession on tuition fee for girl students of non-medical courses is awarded by the university
-Students of MBBS, BDS, BAMS, MD, MS, MDS, BASLP, Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology, PhD., MPhil, D.Ed. Spl. Edn., and B. Ed. Spl. Edn. will not be considered for this concession.
2. Siblings of students:
-Siblings of university students are eligible for a fee concession of 35% per year
-Awarded to studnets of all UG and PG courses except Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy and Ayurveda
3. Relatives of the university employees:
-Only the candidates related to university employees by blood (son/ daughter) or husband/ wife are considered
-Students of BSc Nursing (Post Basic) are eligible for 25% tuition fee concession every year
-For all other courses (except Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Ayurveda), fee concession of 35% is awarded
4. Defence Category:
-Boy/ girl students whose parents are retired or serving in Defence (Army/ Navy/ Air Force/ Para Military Forces)
Candidates applying for scholarships under this category, need to submit several documents. Documents required in case of both serving and retired Defence personnel are listed below:
(i) Dependent’s card issued to the servicemen/ certificate issued by the Unit Head/ C.O. of the servicemen
(ii) Discharge certificate of the servicemen (applicable under retired Defence personnel category)
(iii) ID card of the servicemen/ ex-servicemen (whichever is applicable)
(iv) ID/Aadhaar card of the student
4. Principal’s reference

Boy/ girl students of various courses are admissible for 5% fee concession on the reference of the principal
SGT University Continuation of Scholarship after the first year
SGT University offers up to 25% scholarship in subsequent years in the form of tuition fee concession based on the student's performance in the semester/ annual examinations (as the case may be). The award of scholarships to students will be continued after the third semester based on the criteria mentioned below:

80% or more attendance in all subjects of the course including practical (wherever applicable)

Cleared all the dues and paid the whole course fee for the particular semester/year

No involvement in any act of indiscipline, ragging, eve teasing, etc.
