SNU Noida MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2024
MTech is a two-year programme offered in five specialisations broadly. Find below SNU Noida MTech specialisations along with the eligibility, selection criteria and total fee:
MTech student categories
Regular (full-time): This includes students who work full-time for their MTech degrees and receive assistantships from Shiv Nadar University.
Sponsored (full-time): This includes students sponsored by a recognised R&D organisation, academic institution approved by UGC/ AICTE, governmental organisation or industry. At the time of application, the candidates must have been an employee of his/ her organisation for at least two-year , engaged in professional work in the discipline in which admission is sought. Sponsorship letter must be attached with the application.
Selection criteria: GATE/ written test + personal interview + past academic performance

Note: Candidates from IITs and NITs with CGPA equal or less than 8.0 or aspirants who have qualified GATE and have score equal to or greater than 75 will not have to appear for the written test conducted by the university.

SNU Noida offers decent placements annually for courses like BTech, MTech and MBA, etc. In 2025, 174 companies visited the campus and placed students with good packages. The overall highest and average package offered to the batch 2025 stood at INR 54.82 LPA and 9.88 LPA, respectively. The average salary secured by the Engineering students of the batch 2025 was INR 10.82 LPA, whereas the MBA batch secured the average placements of INR 9.01 LPA.
JEE Main is one of the criteria for SNU Noida admission to BTech programme. The minimum aggregate for BTech is Class 12 with at least 65%. As per the data collated from multiple sourced, 90.2 is a decent score and can get the candidate admission in SNU BTech course. However, such aspirants will not be abe to avail SNU Scholarships. Candidates with at least 95% marks in Class 12 Board or at least 98 percentiles in JEE Main can get 25% waiver in tuition fee.

SNU Noida admissions are either entrance or merit-based. Candidates have to qualify the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for any of the courses. For UG courses, candidates must pass Class 12 and have appeared for SAT or JEE Main in case of UG courses. SNU Noida admission to PG courses like MBA, MSc, etc. is based on entrance exams like NMAT, GMAT, XAT, university admission test, etc. for specific courses. Along with entrance-exam, aspirants must also complete graduation to apply for PG courses.
The total number of students placed during the 2025 placement drive is yet to be released. Earlier, 91.3% students of the batch 2024 were placed. 438 students registered for 2024 placement and secured 506 offers.

Shiv Nadar University has a simple admission process. Candidates can begin with registration of the course of their choice. The applicable fee for entrance exam i.e. SNUSAT is INR 2,500. Once the registration is done, aspirants are required to check the criteria for selection for the particular course.
For UG courses, SAT, CUET, etc. is accepted for admission. Aspirants can also appear for SNUSAT conducted by the university. SNUSAT is a two hour computer-based test conducted for UG admission. Besides, for PG courses, admission is based on national-level entrance exam.
Shiv Nadar University XAT Cutoff 2025 is not out yet. However as per the previous year XAT Cutoff 2024, the MBA cutoff 2024 for General AI category was 60. It has been observed over the years that the cutoff remained the same. So, it is expected that the XAT Cutoff 2025 will remain the same as the previous year.
Your 12th marks will not affect your XAT result at all. In terms of basic eligibility criteria, the authorities demands a bachelors' degree from a candidates seeking admission to MBA course through XAT.
Aspirants have to meet the minimum qualification to be eligible for XAT exam. Given below are the the latest XAT eligibility criteria and academic requirments:
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university.
Students in their final year of bachelor's degree or awaiting their results are also eligible to appear for XAT.
- There is no minimum marks requirement in graduation criteria for XAT exam. Candidate should have passing marks in their bachelor's degree programme.
- Working professionals and candidates with professional degrees (CA/CS) can also appear in the exam.
- There is no age limit for XAT 2026. Fresh graduates as well as working professionals can appear for it.
SNU Noida offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate-level programmes in various fields of study such as Engineering, Management, Science, Arts, and more.
Undergraduate-level programmes include BTech (Bachelor of Technology) in various specialisations, BSc (Bachelor of Science) Research, BA (Bachelor of Arts) Research and Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS). At PG level, the university offers MA, MSc, M.Tech and MBA courses. Candidates who have completed Class 12 can apply for UG courses. Graduation is necessary to apply for PG courses.

SNU Noida MTech Admission 2024: How to Apply?
Candidates need to apply online for all courses. Candidates can also send application form and DD through speed post. Aspirants need to pay INR 1,200 to apply for MTech programme. Find below steps to apply for SNU Noida admission:

No, Shiv Nadar University (SNU) is not hard to get for determined students. The modes of Shiv Nadar University Noida course admissions are online and offline. SNU Noida Scholarships 2024
Aspirants can get 90% waiver on academic fees. MTech students are also open to teaching assistantship stipend of INR 16,000 per month (for 24 months, maximum for full programme).
Note: Waivers for tuition and hostel fees are for two years only. Beyond the second year, the student has to pay the full tuition fees.

Shiv Nadar Hostel fees for first-year undergraduate students of BTech, BSc, BMS, BA, and B.Des courses are INR 175,840, which includes the living expenses, mess charges, and laundry. This charge is for twin-sharing non-AC rooms. Any other type of accommodation, including AC or single rooms, will be charged additionally. For PhD students, the hostel fees are tabulated below:

Located in Greater Noida, this reputed university was established in 2011 by an act of the state legislature of UP under the Shiv Nadar University Act. SNU Noida was founded by the Shiv Nadar Foundation and is approved by UGC (University Grants Commission) and accredited with an A Grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).
