ILLUSION: Illusion, a group filled with never ending energy and boldness is the oldest dance group on the campus. Inspiring students of SMIT to dance and let it out since 2000. Its members receive the highest praise for their diverse forte from Bollywood to b-boying, their musicality, and their sheer human authenticity. Their achievements have even made the college proud when their few dancers shined in springfest, IIT kharagpur. The mission of these Illusionists is to develop, promote and sustain dance on the grounds of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology and enrich the students with the art of dance.

UDAAN: The soul and whole motive of UDAAN is to entertain people and express themselves which is reflected in their performances.

CHROMATICS: Music is a soul to the world, wings to mind, flight to imagination and life to everything. When the name itself has it all it doesn’t need an introduction to define its position in SMIT and in the hearts of the students. This group has a range of artists of different genres who as a group strives to create musical wonder. The club functions as a family and gives a platform for the daily advancement of an individual.

Placements: The college offers a lot in placements assistance. There are various companies visiting the college to recruit the students such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, DELL and many others. The average package offered in this course is 4 Lacs.

Infrastructure: Courses available in the college consist of skill-based subjects which make the students work hard to excel in every field. The topics which are covered in this course are up to the mark. Hostel life here is also very exciting with a strong Wi-Fi connection and continuous supply of electricity and water.

Faculty: The faculty present in the college is too good as they have a lot of knowledge. Faculty members here strive for excellence of the students and work hard to make every student learn at their best. Exams are regularly conducted so that no students lag behind.

College is worth the money you will invest.

Placements: We do get lots of information and chances to know about different companies that will hold the placement, but for Bachelors in CA itself, we are not provided with that good amount of placements compared to other courses. It changes after completing Masters too in this field.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure is very good of our college. Everything is exceptional and no complaint on this term. SMIT is very much recommended for its infrastructure and all available facilities it provides to students. Wi-Fi is provided to every classes, or mess, or hostel, or anywhere you go in college. Library is extraordinary with large and maintained infrastructure.

Faculty: Exam curriculum is extreme and rules and regulations for it strictly followed. Teachers are competent and semester exam is likewise hard to pass if you're not good in the subject. Teachers are qualified and examination held is very much looked to and checked upon. As a BCA student, I have studied many subjects that will help me in my field along with programming languages, like business studies and accounting, data Science etc.

Other: BCA is one of the IT sector courses that gives a vague knowledge and idea about coding and programming languages, this is the reason I chose BCA. Coming to smit, for this course has indeed been a great decision. But a thing I would want this course to upgrade on is, rather than going through just basics of each programming language, we should be able to handle some of the high level programming problem as well, which extremely hard with just the knowledge of BCA.

The college is not as good as expected.

Placements: Approximately 30% of students got placed in reputed companies. Most of the students choose the IT course. There was also an option for specialisation courses. So, students can go for many courses under the same roof. The fee payment mode is very flexible.

Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms and Wi-Fi are very good. The faculty members are polite, but there is an issue about the space on campus for students to enjoy during lunch break. Everything is good and in proper condition. Food is average as expected.

Faculty: There are two modes of exams, online and offline modes, such as OMR sheet and descriptive. Teachers are really helpful, well educated and polite. The campus is student-friendly, and the exam center is better than expected.

This college provides good facilities and infrastructure.

Placements: Placements are provided almost to everyone in top companies. The average salary package range from 22 LPA to 90 LPA. Students are recruited by Microsoft, Dell, Infosys, and many other big companies. Data scientist, digital marketer, and cyber security expert are the roles offered.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is good. Classrooms and laboratories are well-equipped with all the necessary items and equipment. A library is beautiful with tables and chairs designed for a single student, and books available abundantly. The digital room is available in the library with enough computers to access.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and helpful. They teach beautifully, and students would not want to miss a single class. Semester exams are not difficult. If students have studied properly and paid attention in the class, then they will pass with good marks. The pass percentage is 33%.

Everything in SMIT is good.

Placements: Almost 75% of students get placed. In my course, 60% of the students got internships and some of them went for higher studies. The average salary was about 4 Lacs and 8 Lacs was the highest salary offered for my course. Students are placed in Microsoft, Amazon and IBM from our college.

Infrastructure: There are labs for each department. Wi-Fi is provided and also the projectors are there in each classroom for digital learning. The hostel's infrastructure is very good and also include a mess. Most importantly the electricity and water facilities provided are excellent because of its 24hrs service and also we get hot water during winter for drinking and general-purposes too.

Faculty: Teachers in the department have years of experience in the academic and also the industrial experience which helps the students. They encourage student and give the abstract view of the future which helps the student to be well prepared so that they can break the obstacles with a calm and stable mind.

Other: Our college offers almost every scholarship provided by the Central and Sikkim government. Also, there are many technical, sports and musical fests conducted in our college which helps students to progress in extracurricular activities too.

It is a good college for BCA with good facilities.

Placements: In our college, the placements were very good. Many top companies visited here for placements, and distance education students also get placement opportunities sometimes with good salary packages. Top roles offered in our course were computer analyst and software developer.

Infrastructure: The quality of the food available in the mess was good, and other facilities like labs and library were proper here. Mainly classes conducted were proper for distance education students with an online platform. Medical facilities were properly provided to all students.

Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant and mainly approved as it provides good placements for students. All the teachers here were good and helpful in nature. They all were knowledgeable and qualified. Their teaching quality was also good, and they also provide good training.
