For the core branches like Electrical, Mechanical & Civil opportunities are very less only few IT companies ask for the students from these branches.

Review of my college, Sikkim Manipal University.
Placements: Placements are given to each and every student holding very good marks and CGPA. The recruiter companies include many reputed companies like Infosys, Google, and many more. The roles are also very good, like senior executive and others. The average package offered is from 4 to 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. It has free Wi-Fi for all and well-maintained facilities. The canteen has very nice food that melts in your mouth. Classrooms are very big and comfortable to sit in. We also have water filters every 10 feet.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful and qualified. Many hold Ph.D. degrees and have experience from abroad. They also have a good way of communicating with students. Semester exams are quite easy if we study beforehand. Teachers make them easier by providing notes and detailed videos for each chapter.

I am satisfied with academics, but it could do better on the infrastructure.
Placements: 90 percent of students get placed in my course. The average offered is Rs. 50,000 per month. The Sikkim government is the top recruiter, but many students open their own clinics. 100 percent of students from our course get internships within college. A medical officer role is offered in our course.
Infrastructure: There are indoor activities like a gym, a badminton court, a basketball court, and a cricket court. It has well-equipped labs. The hostel has Wi-Fi. There are smart classrooms. There is a digital library with good Wi-Fi and a library with a study room. We have 3 and 2 sharing rooms in the hostel. The food quality is average to low. There are medical facilities like free doctor appointments, free hospital beds, etc.
Faculty: Teacher are helpful, well-qualified, and extremely knowledgeable in their field. They love what they are doing. Our course curriculum is clinically relevant, and it makes us ready for the future outlook. University exams are average, with an 80 percent pass percentage.
Other: I chose this course because I dreamed of it. It makes a difference in people's lives. It should provide more clinically based programs. We do have fests and other programs.

Good infrastructure, a worthy off-campus view, knowledgeable faculty members, and average placements
Placements: I am currently in my 5th semester of B.Tech (CSE), and the most recent pass-out 2025 batch are placed in reputed companies. In our 5th semester, recently a US healthcare company, Vivnovation, visited offering ₹15,000 per month as an intern role and a PPO of 22 LPA on satisfactory work performance. This year, the 2025 pass-out percentage of students placed stood at 76.5%, with 268 getting placed out of 350. The highest in-campus package offer is by Amazon, PwC, and Microsoft, which are 14 LPA, 12 LPA, and 8 LPA respectively. The roles are SAP Consultant and TS.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well-equipped with proper seating arrangements and basic facilities. Every classroom is a smart class (no A/C). The labs are all Wi-Fi enabled with modern computers and architecture (A/C enabled). The library is big, well maintained, and has a large collection of books and reading space. Extra books can be provided on demand. Basic hostel facilities include bed, mattress, pillow, and bathroom items. Every room has average Wi-Fi with 16 Mbps speed. Mess food quality is low and not very nutritious. Medical, sports, gym, and games are well maintained and worth it.
Faculty: Teachers mostly are well qualified and knowledgeable, with good teaching methods, leaving some with a very rigid and boring way of teaching, which, we all can agree, happens in every college. The curriculum needs to be revised with modern subjects, and a big change is required in the first-year syllabus. Semester exams are application-based with good conceptual questions and average evaluation guidelines. There are two midterms of 50 marks summed up into 30, two quizzes of 5 marks each, 5 marks for attendance, 5 for assignment, and a 50-mark end-semester examination.
Other: Well, I got a 40% scholarship on fests due to my JEE rank, and this is a good option to go with for a CSE degree. The professors are okay, and the curriculum is good enough. You get a lot of time to work on your personal skills. Coding culture is too low, that can be worked upon, and clubs mostly begin normally but get lost in interior politics down the line. Fests are okay but can be made far better if the administration actually opens up and looks at things other than just academics. Crowd has increased definitely.

Great infrastructure, Decent placement, but poor faculty.
Placements:
The placement of our college is average, but the faculty and the TNP sell. Do not care about it much. They only provide facilities to selective students. There is no proper placement guidance in this college. You are on your own in this college, but if you have skills, you will get placed.
Infrastructure: The course quality is quite decent. You are going to learn something, if you do not attend classes regularly, then also, you will learn something, but the course is quite old fashion. The hostel is quite good. Everyone helps each other in our hostel, and it is a good place with friends like family.
Faculty: The faculty of this college is not at all helpful. They only pressure students. Exams at our college are quite good. Like, you really have to study to pass the exams. That is a good thing, like we have to study and get information and knowledge, but extracurricular activities are also there. It is quite good, but sports it is really bad.
Other:
Its a waste of money.

Great learning environment with a vibrant campus life and helpful faculty.
Placements: Around 70–80% of students are placed. The average package is 5–6 LPA, with the highest above 20 LPA and the lowest around 3 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, and several Java and cybersecurity-based companies. The AI & ML branch had the best placements. Many students got internships in companies like TCS and startups, mainly in development and cybersecurity roles. The low student crowd allows better interaction with professors.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure at SMIT are genuinely impressive. Classrooms are clean, well-ventilated, and equipped with smart boards and projectors for interactive learning. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, making it easy to stay connected and complete academic tasks. SMIT also offers excellent sports facilities, from football, cricket, and basketball to indoor games like table tennis and badminton, there's something for everyone. Medical facilities are available on campus, with a dedicated health center and emergency support.
Faculty: Teachers at SMIT are very helpful, approachable, and well-qualified. They are always ready to clear doubts, even outside class hours or over the phone, which shows their dedication. The teaching quality is quite good, with a focus on both theory and practical understanding. The course curriculum is relevant and designed to match current industry standards. It includes core concepts, practical lab work, and project-based learning that help students become industry-ready.
Other: Pursuing B.Teach, batch of 2027. The course was chosen out of genuine interest in [subject/field], and it provides a strong foundation with practical learning and supportive faculty. The best aspects include hands-on labs, updated curriculum, and helpful professors. Improvements could be made by offering more industry exposure and specialized electives. The campus is scenic and peaceful, perfect for focused study. Events like Kaalrav and other fests bring great energy. The student crowd is friendly and diverse. Connectivity is manageable, and scholarships are available. Plenty of extracurricular activities make campus life engaging. Overall, a great place for academic and personal growth.

The college is best. The campus area is clean and fresh with a nice environment.
Placements: 20 students are placed in my course. The highest salary is 2 lakhs per month and the lowest salary is Rs. 60,000 per month. Companies like Amazon and Microsoft hire students. About 20% of students get internships in Tata. Roles like accounting and business operators are offered. It helps students to get nice paid placements. Internships are done in a very proper manner where we can learn.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are awesome. All the needed things are present here. I would rate 8 out of 10 for the canteen. The food and everything is good. We are enjoying our college life. Classrooms are very nice with AC and Wi-Fi connectivity. The learning phase is going on, it has a good library where we can study.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good. Teachers are well-qualified. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Exams are not that difficult and the passing mark is 40. Teachers are so good towards students and guide us in everything that we are having problems with.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue my career in the corporate field. Nothing should be improved as everything is good about the college. All events, extracurricular activities, and co-curriculum are conducted.
