I am satisfied because of the staff and environment of the college.
Placements: The average salary package offered is 4 LPA to 5 LPA. Almost 90% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is about 25 LPA - 30 LPA. Some recruiting companies are Microsoft, Dell, Cognizant, Shell, Erricson, and many more. This year, in the 6th semester, 15 students are already hired and 10 to 15 students got internships from the college.
Infrastructure: The college has a very good infrastructure. All the labs are very well designed. SMIT central library has an excellent collection of books, journals, papers, etc. SMIT has a total of 4 hostels, 2 for boys and 2 for girls. A separate sports complex is available named arena and all types of sports are available there.
Faculty: Teachers are always ready to help the students. You can work in the lab up to 10 am. The teacher is always there in the lab to provide the necessary support to the students. You can explore every lab and learn new things. SMIT is very strict in terms of malpractice.

SMIT is the best college in the Northeastern part of the country.
Placements: This institute provides almost 90% of placements for all the branches in B.Tech. Companies like Bosch, Amazon, Microsoft, Dell, etc., visit the campus for placements. They also provide us with recruiters like TCS and Infosys which recruits a mass number of students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very comfortable. It has a swimming pool and a world-class library. There is a football field, basketball court, and tennis court. In the gym, there is a steam and a sauna. The hostel room is immense, and the washroom is also attached. Wi-Fi in the hostel has good connectivity.
Faculty: All the faculty members are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The lab is also great and helps us; help us to keep up to date with the upcoming technologies. The course curriculum is very relevant which helps students to get a secure placement.
Other: I chose this course electronics and communication, because the course structure is excellent, and many-core electronics companies come for placement in the final year. I got placed as a hardware engineer in Robert Bosch.

Our college is very good. Faculty members always help us to improve our knowledge.
Placements: About 70 to 80% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3 to 4 LPA. Recruiting companies are Dell, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. Nearly all the students get internships from our college in companies like Dell, Titan, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our college are very good, and it is around by mountains. The quality of food is good, and they always try to clean the environment. We can play all types of games, and it is also neat and clean. Labs and classrooms are clean, and the library has abundant books. You can issue more than one book at a time. The food is excellent, and the medical facilities and sports complex are excellent. There is a snack outlet and a food court.
Faculty: All the teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The curriculum of electronics and communication engineering has been designed to match the standard curriculum of all leading universities of the country. The curriculum is divided into different levels of skill for the students throughout the 4 years of the B.Tech course. The first year includes basic science, basic engineering and mathematics courses. The second-year includes foundation courses of E&C, and the third year includes applied courses of E&C. The 4th-year includes diversified courses in the form of electives to cater to the needs of the interest of the students. It also helps students to apply the skills of applied and basic science and mathematics for pursuing multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary courses.
Other: I have chosen this course because I can develop things in the ECE department. All labs are available here so that we can work on it and increase our knowledge. The institute offers major engineering and management programs like B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA. SMIT also offers other UG and PG courses in the discipline of science, computer applications, information technology and many others. Admission to SMIT Sikkim is made on the basis of merit and the SMIT entrance test.

My 4 Years Journey- A life-changing Experience .
Placements: From our batch of 2020, there has been a very good on-campus placement of more than 96% of the students seated for the campusing drives in one or more companies. In my year, the top recruiting companies consisted of Microsoft, Byjus, Shell, Ericsson, Dell, Mu sigma. Most students from my ECE course were recruited by Ericsson, Dell, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, globussoft. More than 95% of students who opted for placement drives landed major internships in Dell, Ericsson, Cognizant, Byjus.
Infrastructure: I am from the ECE department. Our department is one of the best and top departments of the Institution. We had access to high-quality labs throughout our academic period. For the ECE department, we have ADC Lab, Digital Communication labs, DRDO Lab, Advanced Microprocessor Lab, VLSI Lab, Microwave Lab, Advanced Communication Lab, Signal and system labs. All lab has access to high quality operating equipments and computers along with access to world-class licensed software like LabView and MentorGraphics. Each student has access to high-speed Wi-Fi Access through their student portal. The Wi-Fi is 24 7 highspeed. You never have to worry about no Internet. Wi-Fi access is available everywhere in the academic buildings, Hostels and Library. The Library is one of the most cherished places in campus. The huge reading spaces and a very large collection of academic, research, journals, literature, magazines. One can find any book that is required for any kind of academic and research purposes as well as to quench their curiosities. E-Library is also equipped will hundreds of thousands of books anyone can access from the e-library database The Hostels were the best along with attached washrooms and two beds, 2 reading spaces, 2 wardrobes with window space, you can't ask for a better dorm room. Mess food was also very diverse with its very vibrant routines throughout the weeks. The Marena is the ultimate Food court where anyone can get any food they crave throughout the day. The Marena constitutes world-class sporting facilities for Basketball, Badminton. Along with that, there are two Tennis courts, a volleyball field, 1 football and cricket field and 4 futsal and basketball spaces.
Faculty: I had the best time in my department getting to know my professors and mentors. I have got to work and study under the best guidance and supervisors throughout the academic years. They were extremely helpful and highly qualified and one of the most important parts of the college experience. Without the guidance and mentorship of my professors, I could not have excelled in many areas of my journey. The ECE department is very advanced and they have the core industry as well as academic course subjects and curriculum which is very important and relevant for every student to be industry-ready as well as pursue higher Studies. Semester exams are pretty good as everything is covered from the curriculum. One must study very boldly and learn in order to face the challenges of the exams.
Other: I choose Electronics and Communication because it has helped me get the latest technology and engineering skills for Industry as well as to enhance my scope for a much broader spectrum in academia as well as entrepreneurship. For anyone who has done good in High school has a good chance of getting a scholarship. I have secured a scholarship on tuition fees for my good results in class 12th. Apart from that the whole year the campus is vibrant with events and fests, there is no chance for anyone to miss out on everything. There are many clubs and communities for everyone. You can discover any community you want to be with.

Placements: Better placement opportunities. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Amazon, Wells Fargo among many others. Many students get re-placement offers in their 3rd year of B.tech, which converts to fill- time opportunities. Great venue to learn and grow.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are provided including Wi - Fi, fully facilitated laboratories, highly equipped classrooms, well maintained library along with F\food courts, swimming pool, football court, basketball court, cricket area among many other facilities.

Hello Avinash, Your AIR is about 1.40L. Do you know all govt colleges put together how many seats are on offer? You want best govt college then you must obtain best marks and AIR below 100. I suggest, you take a break, study well and appear next year again.
