SOA University BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025

SOA University BTech is a comprehensive four-year BTech undergraduate programme. The basic eligibility criteria to get admission to a BTech at SOA University, candidates must have completed Class 12 from the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. SOA University BTech admission is facilitated through the SOA Admission Test (SAAT) or JEE Main, with an exemption granted to those with a valid JEE Main score following the online/offline counselling done by the college.

SOA Univesity BTech courses offer 12 specialisations in BTech. Names of some of the specialisations are; BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, Btech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, BTech in Mechanical Engineering, BTech in Civil Engineering, etc. The university also offers BTech lateral entry admissions to some of the BTech specialisations.

It is a very good college. It is a top college.

Placements: Placements are very good. Placements are dependent on the performance in the interview. There are different companies like Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc that have visited our college. Wipro is the top recruiter. The highest package offered is 2.8 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 1.7 LPA.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi all over the campus and CCTV security. There are 4 boys' hostels and 3 girls' hostels inside the campus. Labs are spacious and digitally updated. Classrooms are ventilated and air-conditioned. There are a cricket ground, a volleyball court, and a badminton court present.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. They are highly educated and experienced. The course curriculum is good. It makes us ready for the industry. Faculty members use simple language, which is easy to understand. There are two semesters in a year, and each semester has two sessions, which are conducted by the college.

Inter Soa College Review 2025.

Placements: Around 80-90% of students get placed in this college. The average package is around 5-6 LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon, Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Dell, and PwC. Around 60-70% of students get internships through the college.

Infrastructure: The college has air-conditioned classrooms with comfortable seats. It has a very good library with almost every book. I don’t live in the hostel, so I don’t know much about it. However, my friends tell me that the hostel food in the mess is average, while the college cafeteria has good food.

Faculty: Facilities in the college are very good. The staff are helpful and well-behaved. All teachers are highly qualified. Teachers, clear your doubts in the classroom or personally in your cabins if you are shy to ask in class. The college makes you industry-ready.

Placements: This year, nearly all students are placed. In our batch, there are too many students, so there is a chance that many will not be placed. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Tlc, etc. Top package was offered by Microsoft and Amazon, which is 45 LPA. The average package is 12 to 15 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 to 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average, not that good, with regular problems in machines such as lifts, which are dangerous. Even PC and all have many cases where they don't work. Even the campus is too small with very little space for any activity. The hostel has pretty good facilities with all the amenities and good food. It is not the same in most boys hostels.

Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful. They help their subjects as well as outside of campus to get jobs or gain experience. Some teachers don't even care at all. It depends on luck whether the teacher is helpful or not. Semester exams were good before, but now the new pattern is too partial for core students.

Placements: 80% of students are placed through our course. The highest package offered is 45 LPA, with an average package of 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Flipkart, Microsoft, and others. Additionally, 70% of students secured internships through the course.

Infrastructure: Our department features smart classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, library access, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The hostel facilities are comfortable, with clean rooms. Mess food is decent, and the canteen offers a good variety. Medical support is readily available, and the sports facilities are well-maintained.

Placements: 80% of students are placed. The highest package Is 45 LPA, and the minimum is 3 LPA. This is good compared to all colleges in Odisha and good private college in Odisha among all private colleges, and it has a good environment..

Infrastructure: Good in hostel life, not like best, but it is okay. This is a very good college, and here 12 boys' hostels and 4 girls' hostels are available. All hostels are good, the food is good, and the environment is the best. It is the best college in Odisha compared to all private colleges.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. The curriculum is also good, and exams are very strict. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. It's not very difficult, it's easy. A normal student can achieve above 8 CGPA by reading studying two weeks before the exam.

Other: I thought this college was best for me as I cannot go outside of Odisha, and this is a very good college, as I had heard.

Dissatisfied with the placement and corrupt people.

Placements: Top recruiting companies visit our college such as Microsoft. The highest salary package offered is 51 LPA which is acquired by only one student. The lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA for sales and management courses. Most of the students are placed at the salary package offered is 4-4.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: College provides good facilities, such as AC classrooms along with Wi-Fi availability. The campus area is so big. Classrooms are well-equipped with smart boards. The college has cafeterias and saloons inside the campus. The shameful part is, they don't have good facilities for sports and big playgrounds.

Faculty: Semester exams are not really difficult as it's seems to be. At our university, it is easy to pass the exams. Because the professors provide notes, assignments and the questions in exams comes from the notes provided. Just like a school days, we need to attend classes regularly and should be disciplined. It become easy to stay connected with rankers.

Other: College doesn't organize fests. The whole year, we just need to roam around near classes, labs, and cafeterias. College can organize good events, trips, and other activities but that's not the case. Students here are tricked by gambling, drugs, alcohol, and illegal substances. Through these activities, students' life gets spoiled.
