B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2017

ITER-One of the best engineering colleges in Eastern India.
Placements: Around 70% of the students in our batch got placed. The highest package offered was 22 LPA and the lowest was 1.5 LPA. The Average package offered was around 3.2LPA. Top recruiting companies were TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. Almost 50% of the students were enrolled in different internship programmes in our department. I did my internship at HAL.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was top notch. The labs were well-equipped with classrooms being spacious and air conditioned. Library was one of the best in the city. The hostel food was tasty and nutritious. There were both indoor and outdoor sports activities in our college.
Faculty: The teachers were highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was top tier. The teachers had Ph.D. from IITs and NITs. The course curriculum was at par with top engineering colleges of India. The semester exams were moderate to easy. The passing percentage was 33%.
Other: Electrical and electronics was one of the most sought after course during my time. One can go for either software or electrical core stream with this degree. There were regular campus fests every year. The campus pulled great crowd. There are lots of restaurants and cafes nearby for the students. The EWS and toppers in the entrance exam received scholarships.

Satisfied with the college course, but due to pandemics, the schedule is not oriented.
Placements: Good placement for all the branches, especially CSE and CSIT gets100% placement. The other branches also get approximately 100% placement. The top companies that visit the college campus are Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. The college also starts giving out internships from the 3rd year onwards.
Infrastructure: Good Hostel but the only thing bad is the food of the mess. At Starting they provide good food, but later on the quality of food decreases. The course is also good we have separate labs and workshops for all the branches. We have the central library on campus too.
Faculty: Good teaching faculty, almost all are Ph.D. holders or are pursuing a doctorate. For the EEE course, we have industrial visits regularly each semester. The exams are held twice each semester, mid-semester and the end semester, both are equally difficult.

Best private university in Orissa.
Placements: Placements are much better than any other private university. Maximum students are getting pre-placement offers in their 3rd year and with a minimum of 7 LPA. The average package for its sector is about 8 LPA. It's enough for a beginner.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good. Hostels and mess are hygienic here. You can opt for both air-conditioned or non-air-conditioned rooms as per your choice, demand, or budget. Hotel and mess fees are very low as compared to other colleges or universities. The food in the mess is very hygienic and tasty. About 4 to 5 days non-veg (egg, fish, or chicken) for non-veggies and veg for veggies, and 2 to 3 days veg for both veggies and non-veggies.
Faculty: Faculty members are the best here, well qualified, and with much knowledge. They help every student in learning or making projects. They know how to teach, and have detailed knowledge of their field of study. Professors are filled with much knowledge. Some faculty members with ongoing Ph.D. are also well known. They can elaborate on anything in much detailed form.

A short review of Soa ITER.
Placements: As I'm in my 2nd year so still no one of our batches is placed. But what I heard from seniors are mostly the students who are good at studies get placed with a good package. The highest package offered in this university was about 20 lac and the lowest goes about 2 to 3 lacs. The average package goes about 4 to 5 lacs. Big companies like Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, Oracle etc. Companies come to recruit students. Almost students get an opportunity for an internship.
Infrastructure: Everything is quite clean and good. The main thing is the environment here is nice. Talking about the hostels the Wi-Fi is good and food is average and the rooms are quite clean and not congested. Medical facilities are given 24*7. Talking about sports, there are not many sports opportunities on the campus. And the canteen here is also good.
Faculty: No question about teachers. They are all good. Yes, some teachers are there who can't communicate with the students properly but their teaching style is quite good. As we were attending online classes in our 1st year so we could communicate directly with our teachers. But in online mode also the teachers tried to give their best and taught us.

I was vey much satisfied here by getting all the facilities related to my studies.
Placements: From sixth semester onwards you are qualified for sitting in campus drive where many number of companies are available to give you a job offer with a minimum package of 2 Lacs per annum to maximum package of 6 Lacs per annum. University will provide a minimum placement of 80 percent in each and every year. There for this university is the best university for technical education in Odisha.
Infrastructure: I am from EEE department and it has one of the best curriculum. There is a central library inside the campus which is very much helpful for the students. ITER has a central big canteen in which you can do lunch with your friend with a very affordable rates. I don't know about the hostel because I was a day scholar students.
Faculty: Here in our department faculty members are very good and they provide class notes in the class which will very much helpful for the students in the semester and mid semester exam. Though semester and mid semester exams are not difficult here but in my EEE branch some papers are their which feels difficult while appearing in the exam.
Other: I chose this course as I have strong in electricity chapter in my plus 2 physics. Again I got reviews from my friends and relatives that EEE is a very good branch and here the faculty members are the best. So I joined this branch.

Very good college and very good campus also.
Placements: Very good placements. The highest package was 24 LPA last year. The lowest package is somewhat Rs 2.5 LPA. The average package stays around 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, DXC and many others. Many students get internships by the companies in their final and pre-final years.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are modern and the labs are well-equipped. The library is very big and well stocked. Wi-Fi is always available. Hostel rooms are very neat and clean. Mess food is very nutritious and hygienic. The canteen is open during class hours. Medical facilities are always available.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful as well as talented. The course curriculum is very relevant. It makes students very much skilful. It is so planned that students face no pressure during their studies. Semester exams are not too hard and not too easy. Question paper is very well-set to test the students perfectly.

Our college is absolutely fantastic with studies as well as life lessons.
Placements: EEE course in ITER is very good with the best faculty members. Placements are also very good here.
Infrastructure: Our campus is very good. It has the biggest library in the city among all other colleges. Our college also has two very good canteens, along with very good hostels and food facility. There is a huge football ground and a huge and maintained auditorium.
Faculty: The teachers here are very helpful, and the guidance provided by them is very good. They are very well qualified and help students with their doubts. Every subject has 2-3 teachers, which is very good, and you will get complete knowledge of the core sector. Subjects of our course also include every detail of the core sector as well as IT. Practical sessions conducted are also superb here.
Other: Events and fest are very well organised in our college. Extracurricular activities in our college are also vast in number in every field. The campus connectivity and campus surroundings are very well. Scholarships are also very well provided.

ITER is for B.Tech students. At SOA University, you can study almost in all fields.
Placements: Almost 70-80% of the students got placed. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA, the highest salary package offered is 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and TCS are the top recruiting companies in our batch.
Infrastructure: Our college library is the biggest and a private library in the east side zone. Almost all types of books are available, and students are also getting an e-library facility. The infrastructure of our college is awesome. Wi-Fi is available at hostels for 24x7. The basketball court is very good, but there is no open space or any fields for playing.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful. Some of them were very arrogant, but some teachers were very good. The course makes students industry-ready as our college takes 1-2 company visits. The teaching quality is good, but the rest is up to students on how they treat or understand.
Other: Genesis is the official fest of our college. There are some strict rules. For extracurricular activities, there are many clubs like the dance club named Danza, music club named SMC, Virtual Showreel, photography club named SPC, etc.

B.Tech in ITER is a good idea. Regarding fee structure faculties ties, campus, etc. As for EEE branch, it's good and after computer science and ECE it's the best branch. So, placement records are very high. For more details go to www.soauniversity.ac.in
