SRM University, Sonepat, pure truth, is it really worth the SRM hype?
Placements: Placements are just on paper. I must say they have internal criteria that we have to fit to sit in placements. I had a talk with seniors, and they also said the same thing to me. Toppers and cream batch placements are at an average level.
Infrastructure: I would rate 4 out of 5 for labs. Our college has Mac labs and high-end PCs that are given on an individual basis. Classrooms are trash with iron benches and are not comfortable at all. There are projectors installed in classrooms, but some of them don't work. Overall, I would rate it 3 out of 5.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful in many cases. But some teachers do politics in giving marks and are partial in many places. The course curriculum is basic B.Tech, nothing extra, and in-depth, but teachers, when approached, personally guide us in a good way.

SRM University Delhi NCR Sonipat is a new gateway to education.
Placements: Approximately 95% of students get placed recently, with the highest package being 50 LPA and the average being 6 LPA. Major companies like Lava, Airtel, Brytecam, Infosys, etc. Students are able to get various roles within these companies. This is a very good number.
Infrastructure: There is always Wi-Fi with a good decent signal. Labs are very grand and luxurious. There are labs for every stream. We also have a MAC lab. Classrooms have podiums, digital screens, and projectors. We also have a unified library. Hostels are similar to 5-star rooms at a hotel. The mess food is great, better than that of other universities.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and cooperative. We can meet them personally in their cabins to clear any doubts. The teaching standards at SRM follow a high level of proficiency. The courses are industry-collaborated and hence make students industry-ready from the start. The semester exams are easy to crack if one studies consistently. The pass percentage is 40%.

Review from an engineer.
Placements: Last year, almost 1,000 students joined B.Tech. According to me, the highest package is 40 LPA. The average is 3-5 LPA. HCL, Cognizant, and some major companies come here. Top roles are for SDE and data analyst. I don't have an idea about internships, but the college will not provide any.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are very nice. The library is average only, You will not find major books there. There is no chance for new books. The hostel and mess are good but can feel a little bit expensive. Sports are good in SRM especially volleyball and basketball at this time.
Faculty: There are fewer faculty members than needed but they are qualified I must say. The curriculum is almost the same in every college, you will not find any very new technology if you are from the core. DevOps and other branches here have some premium access also. There are some percentage scenes. In internals, you required 50% and 75% attendance for appearing in the end-semesters.
Other: I have an interest in B.Tech, so I chose this c

SRM University Sonipat, Haryana.
Placements: Around 10-20% got on-campus placements, others are off-campus. For specialization, there are Xebia and IBM. On-campus internships are not available, but around 30-40% of students do off-campus internships. I do not know the roles offered, but the off-campus placement is 40 LPA, the on-campus placement is 10 LPA, and the average is around 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Labs are good and installed with PCs with 16GB RAM and i7 14th Gen processors. There are Mac labs, and the Wi-Fi facility is average, providing a maximum speed of around 20MBps. There are three cafes, and the library has books for all subjects. It has its own hospital block for emergencies and is available for everyone, including outsiders. There is a sports ground and facilities like cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and other games.
Faculty: Teachers are good and qualified. Some are doing Ph.D., while others have Ph.D. degrees. They are skilled and good at teaching, but due to the demand for Computer Science Engineering, there is a shortage of faculty. The course is okay and good enough, but there is so much room for improvement. Exams are moderately difficult.

Good materialistic infrastructure but irritating management.
Placements: Many students go for off-campus placements if they want to make their career in the IT sector. Around 20%-25% of students opt for on-campus placement drives. The highest salary package offered is around 3 LPA- 3.5 LPA. They are very low-skilled, so the salary package is less. Although companies like Bosch and Xebia tied up with the college but the placement performance is very low.
Infrastructure: Labs and Wi-Fi facilities are very good. Anyone can use lab computers for any task. Talking about hostel facilities, the college provides excellent options but the price is much higher around Rs. 2,70,000. Students who are in nearby areas like village PGs have a lot of freedom and food facilities as well. Monthly expenses are negotiable. The hostel mess is good and provides good food but the price is too high.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and they take efforts for teaching as well but CSE department? S HOD has ruined management since an year and changed exam pattern of mid semester exams. Industry ready subjects are taught to specialisation students e. g Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Cybersecurity. The difficult of semester exam depends on how you performed in internals because a student can only sit in end semester exam if he/she scored 50% in internals.

SRM UNIVERSITY- A moderate life.
Placements: The placement scenario currently is not great, but the placement cell is working hard to reverse that. Last year (2024), the company called FactSet was a great opportunity, with the best seniors getting the placement with good clauses. The role was for product manager. The maximum is around 22 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is great, and the classrooms make you remember school. The labs are great, even having 2 dedicated to Mac systems. The thing about the library is that it is small, but it has a good range; all the books in it are recommended by good college professors. The sports area is a bit lacking, which needs improvement, though the basketball team is great. The food in the canteen is a bit expensive but good, and the one available in the mess is just okay. Medical facilities are also good but not available after 5 pm.
Faculty: Teachers are great, and most can be found on Google Scholar. There are a few teachers who make the course exceptionally great, and some just take the fun out of them. The course can make students industry-relevant if they focus on it. Semester exams cannot be put in a category of difficult nor easy. 50% in internal and 40% overall are needed to pass the subject.

The truth about SRM University Haryana.
Placements: Placements are average. Mostly tech companies like IBM visit our college. Internship culture is quite good, as we receive internship notifications from time to time. The rating would be 5/10. In my opinion, just grab the skills and then go for off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: I am a day scholar, and the infrastructure is very nice. Classrooms are very peaceful and clean. Corridors are also very clean. Ground and the ambiance are very pleasant. The buildings have a good structure, and the classrooms have comfortable seating.
Faculty: Talking about the faculty, I would say 6/10. It's like, some staff members are either too good or below average. Course curriculum is average, it is updated but to some extent. It does make students to be industry-ready. There are many internships and workshop programs. Semester exams are moderately difficult.

It is a good college, but you have to do hard work on your side.
Placements: The placements in SRM Sonepat are not that great. There are fewer opportunities in it. The average package was 5.6 Lacs, and almost 200+ students got placed. Top recruiting companies are TCS, HCL, Cognizant, etc. The highest package was around 50 Lacs from Biomedical Engineering. From CSE, it was 28 Lacs.
Infrastructure: In our campus, there are AC classrooms, well-designed labs, Wi-Fi available in every class and floor, and a library is also there with a computer lab in it. There is also a hospital available on campus and a big sports ground for football, basketball, cricket nets, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are good in this university. They are helpful, with 90% of the faculty being great. As for teaching, it is okay; if you are attentive, you can understand. As per the curriculum, from my perspective, it is like you will get the basics for everything, but you can't be industry-ready; you have to do hard work on your side. The semester exams are easy if you study, and you can easily clear the semester exam.
