Tamil Nadu Open University offers both B.Ed and B.Ed Spl.Ed. for two-year each. Below is the minimum academic qualification required to apply for any of the programmes:

• Aspirants must pass bachelor's or master's degree in relevant subjects with at least 50% aggregate to apply for TNOU B.Ed and B.Ed Spl.Ed. programme.
• Candidates with bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with a minimum of 55% aggregate can also apply.

TNOU offers 200+ programmes of study across various disciplines and skills at different levels from Certificate to postgraduate that are imparted through 13 academic schools, 5 support divisions, 1 media centre and a robust network of 515 learner support and service centres across the state.
