A short review of UEM Kolkata.
Placements: In 2025, 89 percent of students graduated from the final year batch. I'm pretty sure that my batch will also get placed in a good amount. The placement officer and the placement cell's faculty and staff help us in every possible way. They start grooming you from the very first day of college. I think the placement scenario is pretty good.
Infrastructure: I don't live in a college hostel. But my friends live in it, and they say it has a pretty good infrastructure. But there is a serious problem with Wi-Fi. Sometimes it's gone for a long time. But otherwise it's good for students. They provide healthy foods.
Faculty: The faculty is too good and well-experienced in their job. They help us in every possible way. They also teach us out of the syllabus for our future jobs. They also teach us for government job exams or entrance exams for higher degrees. In a semester, we have to attend 3 exams. There are mid-term 1, mid-term 2, and end-semester.
Other: I'm a student of CSE (AI) at UEM Kolkata, and it's a very well-known batch of my college. In my course, I can be a dream job holder like a code or something based on coding or programming. My college always helps me become very good at my passion. I think the campus can add a ground, but eventually, there are 2 basketball courts and a basement where indoor sports are played by the students. Our college organizes lots of events. Good bands, singers, and well-known celebrities also come to attend our fest. There are lots of events, tech fest, and cultural curriculum also. Students love to attend it. They organized a certificate for the events.

Good placements overall, although no college life, but apart from that ,everything is good enough.
Placements: From what I have heard, placements are good enough, and packages are good too. The sole reason why I got into this college. The placements are of a wide range, but more or less, students who are through with their studies get good placements from this college, which is what I've heard while joining this college.
Infrastructure: The course B.Tech is taught nicely enough. The hostel, although it hasn't taken any, is still good enough from what I've heard, although the canteen food isn't good enough, but apart from that, everything is acceptable, could be made better, such as more sitting space in the canteen, and hygienic food.
Faculty: The college has amazing faculty. Classes are superb, and the exams are at the right level. The teachers teach well enough so that a student who attends classes regularly can easily get good marks and a good CGPA. The library is also nice, full of resources, and the teachers are helpful and coordinated very nicely.
Other: There is no college life to be very honest, but apart from that, academics are very good.

University of Engineering and Management Kolkata.
Placements: In our batch 75 percent are placed in Big 6 companies. Top recruiters are Cognizant Capgemini Accenture Dexian TCS and Wipro. The lowest package offered is 3LPA and the highest package offered is 20LPA. Deloitte hires 50 students. JP Morgan has given a package of 20LPA.
Infrastructure: Everything is available and it has security. We have sports day Cultural fest hackathon and Technical fest. Different types of clubs are available to showcase students talents and have a quiz club that attends activities every month. Dance club music club are also there.
Faculty: Faculty are very helpful and friendly. Teaches us through PPTs and blackboard as well. Always helpful whenever we needed help and always available by call or text. Gives assignment for keeping track of the right path and helps us with coding and intense research.

If you want to pass the time and change professions in the future, join the college.
Placements: Placements are low here. Companies generally come here for mass recruitment. But if you work hard, you can get a good package. Internships depend on how much skills you have. College brings opportunities, but you must have enough skills to get a job. But for high package you must try off-campus.
Infrastructure: Labs are not so equipped, sometimes the tools and machines do not work. Wi-Fi facility is good. Library is not well designed, finding a particular book is like a search hunt, it looks like a staffroom. I do not stay in college hostel, so I cannot say anything about it.
Faculty: Semester exams are easy. Some professors are helpful but not everyone. I feel that the curriculum of the course is a bit outdated and exhaustive. Research papers, mini projects, assignments, and exams will be your college life and time will pass like a bullet train in this college.

A hidden gem once. Not up to the mark now. Dense campus life, which feels more like a school.
Placements: Around 60% students got placed in the academic year 2024-25. The highest package was from JP Morgan (19LPA) and the lowest was from TCS Ninja (3.5LPA). Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, PWC, etc., come to campus. There are not many internship opportunities on campus. The best roles offered are from JP Morgan, HashedIn by Deloitte and TCS Prime.
Infrastructure: The campus is very congested. The cafeteria is very small in comparison to the number of students on campus on an average working day. Wi-Fi is weak when there are too many simultaneous connections. The basic classrooms are non-AC, except for labs and some special classrooms. They have AC. Hostel and Mess are okayish. Food is decent, and rooms are not very spacious but manageable.
Faculty: Very strict schedule of exams. Teachers are qualified, but not everyone knows how to teach, apparently. They just read out of PPTs and then take attendance. The course curriculum is relevant, though. But there is a lack of practical knowledge cultivated in the students from the beginning. Oftentimes, they have to resort to the internet to actually upskill themselves.
Other: Fests and events are good. Scholarships are given on a merit basis. The fees are below average when you consider the current rate of B.Tech in this country. So that's justified. The campus life is utterly bad. It feels more like a school than a college. There are strict rules that need to be followed. Disobeying them might lead to serious consequences.

Experience of my college life. The worst college in Kolkata.
Placements: There were only like 7 companies, and most of the roles are like customer service, customer associate, like that, business development, sales-related. We were in a computer application, we knew the coding, a new tech, but still, there were only three companies with roles that came with tech roles like TCS, Wipro and Deloitte. And the company didn't hire many candidates, the strongest and the experienced were average.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good, but most of the labs and most of the high-tech things were not accessible to us, like the labs were shut down, and we couldn't go there unless we had a lab class. In the free class, we still can't do our stuff, like if we want to learn new things, we can't do that. If the faculty has even given us an assignment, we have done that, and the rest of the time, we have to just pass the time, we can't even use the computer.
Faculty: Exams are really bad, you can't really judge your marks, like if you have written and you are confident that you will score nine out of 10, you will 7 and if you confident that you will score 7 out of 10, shockingly you will get 10 out of 10 or somewhere and the faculty is really bad they don't know the basic DSA.
Other: Campus drive life is really bad, you can't really call that small cage a campus. You can't even get out of college if you have any emergencies.

For B.Tech admissions at UEM Kota (University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur), candidates need to appear for the IEMJEE exam (or JEE Main/State level engineering entrance exams), complete the online application process on the UEM Jaipur website, and meet the eligibility criteria.
