Life at PVPIT: My experience as a student
Placements: Only a few students get placed who have real skills. The highest I've seen so far is 9-10 LPA and the lowest is 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, QSpiders, Wipro, Capgemini, NTT Data, Quick Heal, Bitwise etc. Almost all the students get an internship, which can give a little experience in the industry. Top roles offered are Software Engineer, AI/ML Engineer, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Full Stack Developer, Backend Developer, etc.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is okay, not that great. The library is moderate; silence is rarely maintained. Books are available. Wi-Fi does not work; it is worse than the mobile network. Classrooms are fine; SMART boards are present for teaching. Labs are maintained, but still lack the standard. Food is available in the mess but there are hygiene issues. The playground is small compared to other colleges. Sports and games happen regularly.
Faculty: The faculty is pretty decent and approachable. Some teachers are really helpful and help outside the syllabus. The curriculum follows the SPPU syllabus. Has subjects like DBMS, CAN, OOPS, DSA, etc. If you're aiming for placements, you'll need skills beyond the syllabus. Internal exams happen regularly. Difficulty is manageable if you study regularly.
Other: There is definitely scope for improvement in the overall student experience, such as more facilities, better infrastructure, more opportunities, etc. I also feel that there could be more industry exposure and practical learning. The crowd is mixed, but I don't find the overall campus atmosphere very lively. Scholarships are available according to government criteria. Events and fests are organised regularly in college.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2019
Offered by Sinhgad College of Engineering

Faculty and library are the best.
Placements: Only a few core mechanical companies came, but overall, there were bulk placements from Accenture, Capgemini, and Cognizant, so the average placement rate was good. If you had an internship in your third or fourth year, it was easy for you to get a placement.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi worked well. The mess was average. Classrooms were the best. You had late-night fun at your friends' rooms in the hostel. There was a great big ground for cricket and football. Weekends were like heaven to go around with friends on campus. It had so many awesome spots to hang around.
Faculty: Great faculty. They were Master's and doctoral professors who were always there to support you. The workshop was very important for you. Focusing on real experimentation there and learning software like CAD, CREO, and CATIA helped you stay ahead in designing in your class.
Other: Sinhgad Karandak and Technofest were must-attend functions.

Offered by Suman Ramesh Tulsiani Technical Campus- Faculty of Engineering (SRTTC Kamshet)

A decent college for engineering.
Placements: SRTTC Pune has average placements. Around 40 to 60 percent of students got placed. The package offered is around 7 LPA to 12 LPA. Placements depend heavily on individual skills and preparation you need to study on your own and some students get placed off-campus.
Infrastructure: SRTTC Pune has decent infrastructure with well-equipped labs, classrooms, library, computer facilities, sports ground, and hostel facilities. Campus is suitable for academics though facilities may not match those of top-tier engineering colleges.
Faculty: Faculty and exam faculty are generally supportive and approachable, though teaching quality varies by professor. Exams follow SPPU patterns. Semester exams are considered moderate, with regular unit tests and practicals helping students prepare.

College is good on all bases, but it does not provide placements.
Placements: About 25 percent of students got placed in my course. The highest package is 7 LPA. The lowest package is 2.4 LPA. 45 percent of students got internships from my course. Some got assistant manager roles. Some got data analyst roles, and a few got data entry roles. Some companies visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: There are smart classes, canteen, and an NSS department. The college has Wi-Fi but they don't provide it to students. There are sports and medical facilities, etc., available. Students can sit in the library and study in silence. The college has its security personnel. There is no mess available.
Faculty: BCA students need to give MHT CET. Exam pattern is NEP pattern. Teachers are helpful and qualified. Their teaching is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Difficulty level is moderate. Pass percentage is about 40 percent.
Other: Campus is small with all departments in 2 buildings only.

Our college is good for placements and faculty.
Placements: Placements were good in our college. The highest package was 9 LPA. The lowest package was 4 LPA. Some of the students got internship opportunities. Some students were doing Medical Coding. Top recruiting companies like Optum, Accenture, Capgemini, etc. recruited students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was very good in our college. Our management provided good facilities like free Wi-Fi, digital classrooms, and a well-structured library with a good number of books that were useful to us. The quality of food was good and healthy in the hostels and canteen.
Faculty: Our faculty was good in our college. Teachers were very helpful and well-qualified Ph.D. staff with good knowledge. They gave suggestions for our future. They explained doubts clearly. They also provided PPTs, PDFs, and handwritten notes.

I am satisfied.
Placements: About 30 percent of students got placed from our course, i.e., mechanical engineering. The highest package offered was 7 LPA. The lowest package was 4.5 LPA on average. Companies like Mahindra, Wipro, etc., were popular recruiting companies during recruitment. Overall 60 to 70 percent of students were offered internships from companies like JBA Auto Ltd, Uno Mind, Kubota Corporation, etc. Roles offered were CAD engineer, Design engineer, production engineer, automation/robotics trainee, etc.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure of our department was mostly decent. The classrooms were clean and maintained on a regular basis. Libraries were a regular place often visited by students, as it was a perfect studying spot for every student and to gain vast knowledge from the books present there, which were also well maintained. Hostels were okay too, not much to complain about, with Wi-Fi being available 24/7 but kind of slow. The mess was the best part, with food being delicious and nutritious, with utmost hygiene, and a few medical facilities. For sports, a large ground was allocated specifically for sports and games for physical activities.
Faculty: Most of the faculty were helpful in solving most of the students' doubts and problems. Many lecturers having vast knowledge in their respective fields. The curriculum was relevant, which teaches the students basic knowledge and builds strong skills and prepares students for their future career. Semester exams were all moderate level but the overall pass percentage was 70 percent. The rest had backlogs, the reason being a lack of basic knowledge of that particular concept which they failed to gain from previous years.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in the career of designing and restructuring. Mechanical engineering increases your analytical skills and broadens your mind about machines and design. I wish there were more practical knowledge and field activities rather than just theoretical knowledge which shows a lack of practical knowledge in an upcoming career. Events and fests were carried out very beautifully and were quite entertaining and played a huge role in students' memories. There were many clubs which helped students build a strong resume. Scholarships played an important role for students from lower castes who weren't able to afford fees.
