KJSSE offers a Special Scholarship to students based on their merit. Candidates who have passed HSC or its equivalent examination (CBSE/ICSE/Other boards) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology, or a Technical Vocational subject and have appeared for any of the accepted entrance exams are eligible for the scholarship.

K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering has a hostel facility both for boys and girls. A total of four hostels are there with multiple facilities. Below are the details regarding these hostels:

• Sandipani Hostel: The hostel accommodates 683 boys on a double and triple-sharing basis.

• Maitreyi Hostel: The hostel has an intake capacity is of 373 girls on a double and triple-sharing basis.

• Polytechnic hostel: The hostel accommodates boys and girls on four sharing basis.

• Ashtavakra Hostel: The hostel has an intake capacity is of 712 boys and girls on Twin sharing, triple sharing basis, and Dormitory.
