Kalyani University admission to most of the courses are offered via scores of various state/ national-level entrance exams. However, the university does not conduct any entrance exams on its own, but it accepts a few state/ national-level entrances conducted by West Bengal state. These include WBJEE, WB JECA, WB JEMAT, CAT, MAT, GATE, etc., for admission to BTech, MCA, MBA and M.Tech programmes. • Should have secured a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD candidates) as an aggregate of three subjects in the qualifying exam.
• Must have passed in English in 10+2th standard (or equivalent) exam with at least 30% marks.
• The qualifying examination board should be recognised by the Central or State Government.

Kalyani University admissions are both merit and entrance-based for respective UG and PG courses.
