Placements: Placement Percentage: 100% GICED's Travel & Tourism department is one of the very few which has been providing 100% placement for all its students. Companies attending campus placement: Kesari, Thomas Cook, Cox & Kings, Veena World and few other small travel agencies. Pay offered: Usually in the range of 1,80,000 to 2,80,000 per annum. Roles offered; Mainly in sales & operations For internships too, 100% students get placed. Stipend offered within a range of INR 4000 - 5000.
Infrastructure: Being located within Mumbai university campus, the institute has good enough campus with 2 buildings holding classrooms for students. There's a canteen, each floor has a clean but basic toilet facility. There's a computer lab. No Hostel. Library is available. Classrooms are airy but not air-conditioned. The institute has a mini-auditorium.
Faculty: Faculty in knowledgeable and mainly industry veterans. The knowledge is up-to-date. Curriculum is maintained up-to-date and all relevant skills are taught. Student to faculty ratio = 10:1 Lot of importance is given to creative learning and first-hand experience through training. With lots of field training and studies, students have better understanding of the travel industry.
Other: GICED runs skill intensive courses at a much affordable price. One of the oldest institutes in Mumbai to operate in such premise. The institute keeps organizing various talks, interactions for students to avail better exposure of their concerned industry and other industries as well. This nurtures and grows its students well. Positive results of it can be seen across the Travel industry with many successfully working in higher ranks .

No, you will not be eligible for the MBA course at VELS Institute if you haven't appeared for any entrance exam. You have to first achieve at least 50% in graduation and then appear in any one of the accepted exams, namely, MAT, CAT, TANCET, and XAT.
