Review of Pillai College of Engineering.
Placements: Pillai College of Engineering has an active and steadily improving placement cell. The college conducts regular training sessions on aptitude, coding, and soft skills. Top recruiters include TCS, Capgemini, LTI, Accenture, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra. Several mid-scale tech companies and startups also visit during the placement season. Most placements are IT-oriented, even for non-IT branches like mechanical or EXTC. The average package ranges from 3.5-5 LPA. High performers secure packages of 6-10 LPA with roles from better companies. A few exceptional students get 12 LPA+ from product-based companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at Pillai College of Engineering is modern and student-friendly. Classrooms are spacious, and well-ventilated. They are equipped with digital projectors. There are labs for all branches, especially IT, CSE, and ENTC. These are updated with good systems. ENTC labs have proper equipment for electronics, embedded, and communication subjects. Wi-Fi connectivity is available across the campus with decent speed. The library is large, with good seating and a wide collection of technical books. There is access to e-resources and a peaceful study environment. The campus has clean corridors, lifts, and well-maintained washrooms. Common areas, seminar halls, and auditoriums are modern and frequently used for events.
Faculty: Faculty members at Pillai College of Engineering are experienced and approachable. Most professors explain concepts well, especially in core subjects. Some teachers are strict about attendance. It helps maintain discipline. Doubt-solving sessions are regularly conducted for difficult topics. Faculty encourages students to take part in workshops and technical events. The course curriculum follows Mumbai University guidelines and includes extracurricular activities. The syllabus is updated with industry-relevant subjects like coding, communication, and labs. For ENTC and IT-related branches, practical exposure is given priority. Assignments and lab journals are part of continuous evaluation. Mini-projects and presentations help students understand real-world applications. Exams are conducted strictly and on time with proper supervision.
Other: Pillai College of Engineering has a very active and vibrant campus life. Multiple events run throughout the year. It keeps students engaged. Alegria is one of the biggest cultural fests in Navi Mumbai. This is a major highlight. Technical fests like TechClash and Project Exhibitions showcase student innovation. Departments conduct workshops, coding contests, and hackathons regularly. Sports festivals include football leagues, cricket tournaments, and indoor games. The campus atmosphere becomes energetic during the fest season. Students from all branches collaborate to organize committees. Celebrity performances and concerts attract a large crowd. Really good college and placement cell is also good.
Placements: Most of the students from the computer branch are placed in college. But the placement cell is good, and they are trying to place as many students as possible. From our department, only a few students were placed last year. But the overall placement activities are very good in college.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi in the library for study. Labs are good, but some class work is in progress now. For sports, the college has turf. The sports event is fun for students. I have no idea about the hostel, but the distance of the hostel from the college is very short, so it can be good for the students.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in our department. We can discuss any problem with our HOD, and they try to solve every problem. The pass percentage is good, and sometimes it is difficult, but sometimes it is easy to pass the exam. Teachers help us before the exam.
Other: I chose this course because of the CET percentile. I have a low percentile, so I have failed to get into the computer and IT department. But now I am happy to get this course.

Faculty provides good support, but more focus is needed.
Placements: Around 70% of students in our batch get placed. The highest package is decent. The average package is moderate. Most placements are from IT, core engineering, and service-based companies. Some students also receive internships in companies.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is satisfactory for basic academic needs. Classrooms are well-maintained. Some rooms have projectors. Labs have the required equipment, but upgrades are still needed in a few departments. The library is fantastic.
Faculty: Faculty is average in terms of teaching quality. Some teachers are really helpful, while a few do not put enough effort into explaining concepts clearly. Exams are neither too tough nor too easy. But students need to study to score well. Overall, the academic experience is okay.

Overall experience is good, not better.
Placements: Terna Engineering College mostly focuses on placements for CSE and ENTC, so the percentage of students is higher compared to other departments. The highest package is 15 LPA, which an EXTC guy got, and the lowest is 1.25 LPA for the mechanical and civil branches. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Godrej, and Deloitte. Almost zero students get internships from college, as the college focuses more on attendance than skills, so no internships from college, but you can do internships from outside. Roles like consultant, junior engineer, like that.
Infrastructure: Labs are okay, not so great, where some computers don't even work, some keyboards or mouse don't work. Hostel facilities are good, but we all know hostels in India are all the same. That's it, nothing more or good about the college, it's just the teachers should explain more deeply and like multiple times when everyone's doubts are fulfilled, instead of just telling them to go through the lab manual.
Faculty: The teachers are good, though the course curriculum is also relevant, but the course doesn't make students industry-ready. Students have to do external courses to be industry-ready. Exams are easy if you are a good student. The passing percentage is good, but still college fail some students on purpose so that you'll fill evaluation forms and you are passed, that's how they do it, not just Terna but most of these 3-tier colleges, even Mumbai University does that, so it's better you be ready for this.
Other: About my course, which is EXTC, I wanted CSE but ended up getting EXTC. It's interesting, and I started loving it. The quality of labs should be improved, and the overall infrastructure of the college needs to be improved. Events are great in college, you can engage with students from different departments, and it's good for networking. A teacher should know how to help students and make them industry-ready, not just bookworms. Most of the students don't even know what the industry is, or what they need to learn to get a job.

Faculty is not good and supportive of students, and placements are not that good.
Placements: 30% are placed. 10 LPA is the highest package, 7 LPA is the average, and 2.5 LPA is the lowest. Deloitte, SBI Fintelix recruit. College does not provide an internship, and it also does not support the students in getting an internship. College has so many rules, and they have so much paperwork for an internship. No idea about top roles.
Infrastructure: 3/4 PCs are not working in the lab. I don't live in a hostel, but my friend told me that they don't get hygienic food, which is not good to eat. Also, to play sports, they have so many rules, and for that, they charge a fee, but students didn't get to play.
Faculty: Teachers are not at all helpful, they are also not supportive of students in an internship. They are knowledgeable but don't know how to teach students. The syllabus in some subjects is old. It does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult, 70% students pass the exam.

My college review of computer engineering.
Placements: Hi, I am Sahil. About 70 percent of students are placed in my Computer Engineering course. I think in Computer Engineering, the highest is 1 lakh per month, the lowest is around 20 K to 40 K per month, and the average is around 60k. I think that the top recruiting companies for computer engineering are Infosys, Spider and many more.
Infrastructure: In my opinion, I loved the facilities and infrastructure at my college, but I think the Wi-Fi issue occurs sometimes. The labs are well-equipped, the classroom is okay, and the library is stocked with various types of engineering books for my department. I am not from the hostel, but my friends told me that the hostel food is good, which is awesome.
Faculty: In my Computer Engineering Department, the faculty are helpful. According to their jobs, they teach well and are knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good. In my opinion, semester exams are easy, and the pass percentage is around 90 to 95 percent in my computer department, which is all good.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in coding, and the best thing is that it is related to computers, and computer is my favourite thing. Events and fests are good with lots of fun games and entertainment. I loved the vibe and campus surroundings, and I love the area of my college.
