Very good management of the college.
Placements: The fieldwork is a mandatory part of the course curriculum. Apart from that, the college organizes orientation visits for the students in corporate, government, and voluntary organizations. Also, students are taken to rural camps and study tours. After the completion of the course, they are provided with placements.
Infrastructure: In the hostel, they provided us with a table, chair, bed, and an almirah. The quality of the food is not that great but food is provided 3 times plus one snack in the evening. The registration for the hostel can be done during admission time only by paying a caution deposit of 10,000 rupees. The hostel fee is INR 2,50,000 per year.
Faculty: Course curriculum will be divided into 4 semesters. Each semester will have 7 papers including fieldwork. All are credit-based. Fieldwork is the most practical component which is used to gain more knowledge about the subject. Rural camps, study tours, and counselling sessions are important in fieldwork.

The thing I like about the college is the faculty members as they are very good at teaching.
Placements: There are internships available in our college. A company like Candela Technologies provides internships to students based on networking. We did not get any stipend but if we do hard work and know about networking then we can get a stipend.
Infrastructure: There are various programs that I have observed like NSS. There are various books and journals available in library. There are various facilities like Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms. Many groups are created every year among students. Facility is provided by the authorities and is good for the students. However, the food in the hostel, especially in B Hostel, is very poor. There are many PG accommodations and rental rooms near the university campus, and they offer better quality.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and some faculty members are not good in this college. Course structure consists of 6 semesters, with each semester having three core subjects, two or three labs, one open elective subject, and two language subjects. Exam is conducted by a university that is in the same college where we are studying and the marking scheme is CGPA.

My review of this college.
Placements: Christ has good long connections with various NGOs in different states, which help students to find NGOs that can meet the learning requirements and explore for students. From the third semester, the students become eligible for campus selection and students are given support from the faculty members to join certain NGOs to work with. This makes the students develop their skills and learn new things by working with them. Students often end up working with these NGOs after finding the experience with them as productive. But Christ doesn't have many placements for the MSW course.
Infrastructure: Hostels are very good and have all the latest facilities. The average rent for UG students is Rs. 5,000 for 2 months, and for PG students it is Rs. 9,000 for 2 months. There are no problems at all. The food in the mess is also very good, with breakfast in the morning. So there is no need to go for searching the food outside.
Faculty: Faculty members are amazing. They have in-depth knowledge and vast experience on their subject. Every faculty member has a doctorate or is pursuing one. Many teachers have corporate backgrounds which helps them teach better by giving real scenarios. The college follows a system where 50% of marks are from continuous internal assessments, which is a burden to students throughout the semester. Apart from that, 50 marks in mid-semester and 100 marks in end-semester examinations are held per semester. Teachers are too friendly and the way they treat students is unbelievable. Almost all teachers are well-educated and almost all have master's degrees. They have experience working in blue chip companies, etc.

The thing I like about the college is our faculty members as they are very good at teaching.
Placements: Students are eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. Capgemini and Cummins visited our college for campus placements. The highest salary package offered by the company in campus placements is 7.5 LPA. Students need to score an 8.5 CGPA to get campus placements. Internships start in the 4th semester in our college. I am in the third semester, and I don't know much about it. According to our seniors, Microsoft offers internships at Google. To qualify for internships, students need to create a website or app as a team of 4.
Infrastructure: There are various programs that I observed such as NSS, etc. There are various books and journals available in the library. Various facilities are available like Wi-Fi, air-conditioned rooms, etc. Many groups are created every year among students. This facility is provided by the authority, and it is the best for students. The food is very bad in the hostel, especially in the boys' hostel. There are many PGs and rented rooms near the university campus. They are good.
Faculty: There are more than 100 faculty members, so there is no issue with faculty members. Most of them have done their master's or Ph.D. out of the country. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:60. The faculty named Stanley, I liked him the most as he tries his best to explain to students. He creates models himself and tells students how they all work.

Summary of University of Science and technology, Meghalaya.
Placements: The course is good, but there are few opportunities for internships in the government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that do social work. But getting jobs in the government sector is our only hope; NGOs do not give much salary and private firms have very few vacancies for MSW. Many students who are passionate about SW do not consider salary but a job or money is equally important, I guess. A salary of 20,000 is something we can get with hard work. I suggest anyone who wants to do MSW and wants to get a good job try for TISS, DSSW and Madras Institute of Social Work; they have a good placement record.
Infrastructure: The college climate is warm, and it is located on top of a mountain, which is stressful. Everywhere you can see. We have a small playground, horseback riding, a canteen, laboratories and a library. No Wi-Fi is installed in our college. The classroom has good benches to sit on, whiteboards, projectors, and fans. Hostel fees for 3 seater is 6,500; mess food is not bad; provided 4 days in a week; and a student staying outside rent is 4,000–5,000, which allows them to save money and spend other things.
Faculty: I feel that teachers like to do social work. Many teachers associate with NGOs and do social work. Teachers and we plan any social work events; they guide us like little brothers. The course is all about how we can improve society, do social work and make the place better for everyone. In many social work practical and theory lectures in the course, we have a six-month semester exam at the end. There are many internal and practice exams in college, but the most important is the university exam, which determines whether you pass or fail. It was not a hard or easy pass .
