USTM and the Gabonese Ministry of Higher Education Collaborated for Student Exchange and Research

August 8, 2023: On June 17, 2023, Dr Patrick Mouguiama Daouda, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, Gabon, Josephine Patricia NTYAM-EHYA, First Counsellor, Embassy of Gabon in India, and other representatives from the nation paid a visit to USTM and participated in an interactive session with university staff and students. Before the visitors from abroad, USTM students also gave a lovely cultural presentation of the eight northeastern states. Dr Patrick Mouguiama-Daouda, the minister of higher education for Gabon, spoke to a sizable audience of students and faculty members and stressed his willingness to engage on inter-university initiatives while emphasising the significance of student and teacher mobility for higher education.

The agreement would serve as a mechanism for establishing a cooperation, particularly between USTM and other colleges in Gabon. For the first three years, our students can take their classes online before heading to India to continue their education. Students from India can also go to Gabon for additional education. I can guarantee you that Gabon is more than capable of managing the students who travel there for higher education. because Gabon has a very strict policy governing social aid for students. He said that the students' meals and lodging are also taken care of by the government of Gabon. The same advantages are also available to Indian students who travel to Gabon to study, he noted

The environment was good, and faculty was very helpful.

Placements: After completing the 4th semester in law, students could apply for placements provided by the placement cell. It was based on the best performance of students in their academic roles, internships, and other curricular activities. The placement cell in the college had visits from companies like Wipro, Infosys, and USB. Around 60% of students got placed after completing the course. Litigation was my career plan after this course.

This university has a very clean and green campus.

Placements: Most of my class is doing placements in chemical companies. I think the package is between 2-4 LPA. About 20% of students are doing internships. In Chemistry M.Sc., students are mainly getting offers from chemical companies and other institutions like junior colleges and colleges from guest professors.

My review of this college.

Placements: The institution offers a high package of placements to the final year students. Internships are also there in order to help students learn the implementation of their knowledge. Many reputed legal firms and companies hire students. The placement in this college is amazing. The salary package given to the students in the university is 5-7 LPA. There is a 100% placement in this university. The highest package offered is 20 LPA with 100% placements. Roles like legal counsel are offered in law firms...

My honest review of my college.

Placements: Job opportunities for students are okay. Many companies visit the university for students, and many students get good jobs in these companies. The placement process is interesting. Every year, many companies visit for the placement of jobs for students, and many students get selected.

Fully satisfied with everything, faculty members and infrastructure.

Placements: No one got placement from our batch. In our department, they don’t provide any placement. But even without placement, our faculty members were very helpful in everything. They used to help us in everything. Whenever they got information about some job vacancies, they used to inform us.
