UOU offers courses such as BSc in UG level for the duration of 3 years in full-time mode. The University offers BSc in various specialisations on the basis of merit. Uttarakhand Open University offers admission to UOU BSc programme based on the qualification of Class 12 or equivalent with a minimum aggregate. The total tuition fees of the courses range from INR 900 to INR 3.3 Lakh. Furthermore, admission to the respective courses is provided based on merit and valid entrance exam score.

After registering for candidature via the official website, candidates will be selected based on merit/entrance exam. Post shortlisting, candidates will receive counselling conducted by the University. Post Counselling, UOU releases a merit list, and the selected candidates are required to appear for document verification. For final admission, candidates will be required to pay fee and get the final seat confirmation.

The University prepares its students for several industry-related demands by offering various short-term courses in distance learning mode such as a Diploma in 18 specialisations, PG Diploma in 10 specialisations and Certificate Programme in 31 specialisations. Apart from these, the University also offers a three-month Foundation Course for Education of Children with Disabilities (FCECD).. .
