Yes,  Uttarakhand Open University offers a two-year course of B.Ed ODL (Open & Disctance Learning). This course can only be pursue after getting any UG or PG degree. Further, aspirants must also be trained in-service teacher in elementary education. The university also offerd B.Ed in Special Education. To get admission to these courses, candidates must appear for an entrance exam conducted by Uttarakhand Open University. Interested candidates are required to fill an online application form along with paying an application fee of INR 1,000.

Uttarakhand Open University (also known as UOU Haldwani) was established in 2005. UOU courses are recognised by Distance Education Council (DEC) and UGC. UOU Haldwani consists of a total of 14 schools in different streams of education. UOU offers its programmes through 240+ Study Centres established at different locations in the state under eight Regional Centres at Dehradun, Roorkee, Pauri, Uttarkashi, Dwarahat, Bageshwar, Haldwani and Pithoragarh.

The University prepares its students for several industry-related demands by offering various short-term courses in distance learning mode such as a Diploma in 18 specialisations, PG Diploma in 10 specialisations and Certificate Programme in 31 specialisations. Apart from these, the University also offers a three-month Foundation Course for Education of Children with Disabilities (FCECD).. .

Uttarakhand Open University B.A. Admission is offered in various specialisations, including General, Geography, Mathematics and Yoga Sciences being the most preferred ones. B.Sc. Is also offered in two specialisations, including one in General and the other in an optional subject of choice. BSc admission in Uttarakhand Open University takes place through the merit secured in Class 12 exams.
