    Q:   How can I get admission to BCA course of UPES Dehradun?
    A: 

    UPES Dehradun admission to BCA course is based on CUET-UG. Aspirants who have not appeared for the entrance exam can come for personal interview round. Additionally, candidates who have passed Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate along with Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology as one of the major subjects in Class 12 can apply for the BCA course. After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants need to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university. There are a total of 60 seats in the BCA course. The total tuition fee for BCA ranges between INR 3.42 Lacs and INR 4.82 Lacs as per an unofficial source. The fee excludes hostel charges and other admission expenses.

    Satisfied with this college's infrastructure, faculty.
    Placements: I'm doing a BCA course currently, and the top recruiters are Amazon, Dell, Manforce, etc. In my course, every student gets an internship during the course. We must do the internship. We can choose subjects in which we are interested from the 3rd sem.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college, hostel, and library. We can play games on the ground whenever we want. There is 24/7 Wi-Fi availability, even the hostel food is also very good. They change the menu based on students' choices. The medical facilities are also good.
    Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified enough. Their teaching quality is too good, they try to help you in every possible way. The course curriculum is good and so vast. The semester exams are easy if you study well, and the pass percentage is also high enough.
    Other: I chose this course because I wanted to gain knowledge in the computer field. The best thing is we can design our course by ourselves, like if we want to study any subject from another course, then we can choose it as a minor subject in our semester 3. Events and fests are too good, the crowd is amazing. The campus surroundings are clean and beautiful. There are also scholarships and extracurricular activities. If you have a percentage above 75% in the 12th board, then you can apply for a scholarship, and Uttarakhand locals can also apply for it.

    Missing the fabulous and the great journey of my college (UPES).
    Placements: Around 90 percent of the students were placed in our batch. The highest package was 16 Lacs. Average package goes under 7 Lacs in my batch. Top roles in AI were AI engineer, data analyst and many more. Every student in my course got internships from the college.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is a very aesthetic type that looks like a hub of a bigger part, like some bigger company or it's very poorly designed and coloured. All the facilities are given in the college, like cafeterias, playing areas, smart classes, smart notes and many subscriptions.
    Faculty: Faculty members in the college are great in behavior, talking, and in the lectures too. They help the students everywhere, inside or outside the campus, by giving good learning and conveying better topics in their fields. Course curriculum is the best prepared planning, which links semester-wise and gives good understandings. Semester exams are not too difficult. They can be cleared if you go daily in the lectures and make those notes.
    Other: I just chose this course as I wanted to take some knowledge in the computed field, which makes me feel better in this era of advancement from the time. I learnt many lessons from the UPES, as not only in academics but also rather than those, there are many things in life a person should know. I got many more lessons to prepare myself for the future aspects and also enhanced my skill here like management, communications, public relations, etc.

    Dissatisfied with the college faculty. The last year placements were not good.
    Placements: Many students got placed. I am currently doing the BCA course at this university. I am in my second year. This is the best B.Tech course. Most students get placements at this college. Those who are doing this course also got placed.
    Infrastructure: Classrooms are good. Wi-Fi is also working well in the university. Our classrooms are well-designed in the university. Tables and chairs are good. Sometimes, Wi-Fi does not work properly. Wi-Fi works well in the overall university.
    Faculty: Faculty members are quite not good. Some of the teachers are very good. Some of them are not good. Teachers cancel classes. Their behavior is quite not good. Some teachers are very good. They treat students very wisely. They help students in their work.
    Other: I am from a commerce background. I chose this BCA to gain knowledge about coding and learning languages.

    Experience with UPES Online
    Placements: Currently, I don't know much about placements, but guaranteed placements are there for students with much higher grades. Students will be placed according to that. The data behind the placements states an average of about 7-8 LPA, with the highest going up to 18-25 LPA. It varies based on the student's experience, quality, interview, etc.
    Infrastructure: Infrastructure is one of the best in all of Indian private universities. In the middle of the mountain ranges, it feels exotic and beautiful there. The food is amazing too; while there aren't a bunch of options, the options we have are good enough.
    Faculty: The exam pattern is easy to crack, though some of them are really difficult. Exams are online-based, as I am a UPES online student. I have 2 assignments and 1 term exam in each semester, which counts for a total of 300 marks (100 marks each). Assignments are very lengthy.

    UPES: Cyber security student review.
    Placements: Placements are well-arranged affairs, with a dedicated cell for them. The university also provides extended placement support to alumni, even though most of them are placed in core companies. Mock tests and interviews are regularly scheduled.
    Infrastructure: Infrastructure is up-to-date and commendable for the large number of students enrolled in our university. Hostels are acceptable and well maintained. Labs are equipped with all the latest equipment required for extensive research and projects and can be accessed if permitted.
    Faculty: Faculty is made up of people who have been industry veterans and have gained valuable experience that they gladly pass down to the students; however, not all of them are aware of their subjects and some are sick of traditional text book ways of teaching.
    Other: The campus crowd is made up of all kinds of people; you will find all kinds of people here and the university can not hold responsibility for any of them. Choosing wisely who you decide to accompany is your responsibility.

    UPES: BCA student review.
    Placements: The placements for tech jobs are bifurcated into development and non-development roles, providing an option to those who wish to work in IT services but not as a coder. The training is well suited to industry standards, and plenty of internship opportunities are given to all.
    Infrastructure: The campus is well built, spacious and Wi-Fi-enabled. Food is acceptable, the mess and canteens are average, the labs are up-to-date, and they are state-of-the-art. All labs are well maintained, and new technologies can be accessed through student requests for research and project studies.
    Faculty: The curriculum is theoretical but lab work provides a bit of practical information; however, self-study is crucial. Exams are relatively easy if you are inclined to self-study. Internals and attendance are crucial as well. Most faculty are industry veterans and approachable for guidance.
    Other: Being a private university, the fee is on the higher end for most courses but their facilities make up for it. Extracurricular activities take place in abundance. Everyone has the opportunity to find something new they like or indulge in their pre-existing interests.
