Good infrastructure and facilities, but all faculty members are not good. Placements are good.
Placements: The percentage of students who get placed is around 60% to 70%. The highest package is from 12 to 15 LPA, the lowest is from 3 to 5 LPA, and the average is between 6 to 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, PwC, Yamaha, LTI Mindtree, and others. Around 60% to 70% of students in our course get internships from various companies, like IBM. The top roles offered are web developer, software developer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is good. Overall, Wi-Fi connections with good labs, classrooms, and a library. Hostel facilities and food are good, and there are medical facilities. Sports and games activities are also available for students.
Faculty: Faculty are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Exams are difficult if you only know some topics of the subject. Instead, you have to study the overall syllabus to get good marks in exams. The passing scenario is 35% for UG and 40% for PG in end-sem exams, and you need an overall 40% in the subject to pass.
Other: I chose MCA because I needed a good college for UG, and the course fulfilled the expectations I had. The overall course is good. Events and fests at the university are good, but the crowd is too much. The connectivity is fine, and the campus surroundings are good. There is also good scholarship availability, along with extracurricular activities.

I loved the university.
Placements: I am in my first year of college, so personally, I do not have that much idea about the placements at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. But as per seniors, placements are good here. Both IT and sales companies come for placements here.
Infrastructure: I do not stay in the hostel of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. So I do not have that much idea about it. But the facilities of the university are top-notch here like the library, lab and classrooms. Everything is good here.
Faculty: Faculty members of the computer science course at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies are good at teaching. They are friendly and interactive. There are two exams per semester, i.e., mid-semester and final semester weighing 50% and the rest 50% is for internal exams.

College is good in terms of education, crowd, infrastructure, and placement.
Placements: Placements are okay as companies visit the college, but the rules of the college are too strict. 30% of students are placed in IT roles, whereas others are offered Non-IT roles. Students who got placed once cannot sit for companies again, which becomes an obstacle for students to get their desired role.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good as the buildings are clean and all labs are fully functional. There are numerous labs in each and every department of the campus. Cleanliness is also appreciable, and the canteens and food court are also clean and serve quality food.
Faculty: Course content is good. Students get actual knowledge of the course they have opted for. Regular assessments keep track of the students. But sometimes, there are some teachers who have less knowledge about their subject, which makes some topics unclear to students.

The campus is good with mountain views. There are many places to visit and explore.
Placements: Placements of SOCS are the best, with an average salary package of 15 LPA. There is no accurate information about placements. Students may have to take non-core placement offers, which are compulsory, but can opt out. Core placement is also offered.
Infrastructure: The campus is good with mountain views. There are many places to visit and explore like expensive food and accommodation. The campus is neatly maintained and clean.
Faculty: Some faculty members are very good and some faculty members are very rude. Some faculty members are not even concerned about students. Exams are taken very seriously and strictly. Random student paper checking is also strict depending on the faculty members.

College is good for engineering courses as is the core of this college.
Placements: Placements are good with an average salary package of 15 LPA. However, SOSC has no accurate information about placement. MCA students are the most affected many have to take noncore placement offers. However, college also provides internships for students which are non-paid and last around 6 months. Rest the college is good for enjoying the mountains.
Infrastructure: Boys' hostel is completely out of date and cramped. Girls' hostel is well-maintained and furnished. Mess food is tasteless. Campus is good and it's surrounded by beautiful mountains. It gets chilled during winter. Sometimes may witness snowfalls if we are lucky. The college has a gym but few lucky ones can go there.
Faculty: Some faculty members are very good, while some are rude, and some aren't even concerned about students.
Other: Campus is good and it's surrounded by beautiful mountains. It gets chilled during winter. Sometimes may witness snowfalls if we are lucky.

Excellent placements. University with a purpose.
Placements: 100% placement in School of Computer Science. The highest package was 50 LPA and the lowest package was 4.5 LPA.
Wipro, Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, Tech Mahindra were top recruiters.
100% students got internships in different reputed companies with good stipend such as IBM, Talentserve, Infopercept and so on.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college and hostel is hood. College Environment helps in learning new things. All basic quality of the facilities are available in our college. There is frisco and food court inside with the good taste. 24*7 medical facilities available to students.
Faculty: All teachers are IBM certified and with great knowledge in their field and have good teaching experience. Very good for students to study here. It make the students industry ready. Semester exams are quite hard with a passing percentage of 80 %.

No, JEE Main is not mandatory for UPES Dehradun BTech admission. While the university accepts the scores of the exam, it is not the only accepted exam. Students can also submit scores of UPESEAT/ SAT India/ CUET exams for BTech admission.

Yes, UPES Dehradun BCom admissions are entrance-based. Students need to appear for CUET/ Personal Interview round to get admission in the university. Also, the minimum qualification of completing Class 12 from a recognised board with 50% is essential.
