The best college with a variety of students and faculty.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were knowledgeable, interactive, and very helpful. The curriculum covers all the subjects which will be essential for industrial purposes. The labs were also good with the latest technology and full support was given by teachers and lab assistants, which results in great technical knowledge and operating tools and machinery.

The infrastructure and placements are good. The faculty are friendly providing good guidelines.

Faculty: The teachers are good and helpful, and they will always be there to help you in your studies and project. The students shouldn't fear and be friendly with the faculty members and put your maximum effort to be and interact with them. If you have a speaking problem or interact with others, you can take communication class within the campus. There is also PEP class, which will help you a lot.

Overall the development of the students is good whereas the placements are above average.

Faculty: In Mining Engineering course, there are only two faculty members that are from mining background whereas the other faculty members are from Geology and they teach mining. The course curriculum is made concerning the future scenario which emphasises on deep sea mining and polymetallic nodule.

Nice faculty and decent infrastructure.

Faculty: Most of the faculty is IITs passed with some faculty with Ph.D. from UPES itself also they are very helpful to the students. All the classroom test, assignments and tutorial sheets are uploaded online to the UPES blackboard website. The industry exposure is given to the students in third year and also here there are 23 types of faculty members.

Dissatisfied because of the faculty, placements, and the subjects were entirely different.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, and the teaching is good. The student to the faculty ratio is 30:1. The course curriculum was useful, and there should be more teachers for our department, and only two teachers were taking the whole course curriculum, and we need more teachers for our department and the other departments. We have been to industries for the practical knowledge, and it was very helpful.

Satisfied with faculty, good placements, very good infrastructure, facilities, etc.

Faculty: The course curriculum is good. Faculty members are helpful, very experienced (except a few) and knowledgeable. Teachings are usually practiced on the slide and there are a lot of assignments. The student to faculty ratio is 20:1. Everyone goes for industry exposure like in ONGC, GSPC, etc. The course curriculum was very useful for the GATE exam.

Dissatisfied with the college management.

Faculty: The faculty were good. They have good behaviour with students. The faculty were very helpful, well educated. They were having a lot of knowledge. The teaching method is nice. They helped us if we have some problem regarding anything. The course curriculum is very useful as it helps us for Gate exam.

University with a great faculty, excellent placements and really good infrastructure and facilities.

Faculty: University is filled with high-level faculty members who are qualified and knowledgeable. They provide all theoretical and practical experiences of the domain to the students of the university. It's very easy to access the faculty of the university. With lots of departments, it was easy to get connected with the faculty of different departments which was helpful in projects. However curriculum covers almost everything which is needed by the industry, but it can be updated according to the neces...

M.Tech at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, was a wonderful experience with huge and wonderful infrastructure built, knowledgeable faculty and placements as good as other same level colleges. Experience of studies into a campus surrounded by Mussoorie mountain ranges, away from polluted and noise cities, made the two years of graduation memorable.

As far as study is concerned, this college is very good. Students who are looking at specific branch and specialization can opt for this college, as this college provides the branch that the student may be interested in. In UPES, a student also gets an opportunity to do a maximum number of 6 internships.

It is a very good university with great infrastructure, labs, facilities, teachers, and atmosphere. Placement is also very good. One who wants to take part in Sports University welcomes them. Culture and Technical fest are so amazing that one never miss them. University is offering specialization course in different fields. So it is a good University for those who want to make their career in specific field of petroleum, automotive and infrastructure.

It’s a well-known college but lacks the spark which was there. It provides average placements, awesome weather and infrastructure. You should be focused on getting things done by yourself. Don’t expect a lot from college as they will bring the company, but if you are a mediocre student it won't be that much of a help.

Good infrastructure but faculty members are very bad. Placements are little bit only.

Faculty: Its very difficult. Exams are not good in very semester. You will have it back in every exam. You will have to study by yourself only. Nobody is there for help in the exam sometimes. They give the paper to fail the student only and then call their parents.

The college is almost satisfactory, mostly because of its location. It is a nice place to stay.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are pretty much helpful, and their teaching quality is also good. They are very experienced and know a lot of things to teach. Some teachers are better than others, but overall, they are pretty much helpful. All the courses offered are not up to the mark, so I suggest that inquire before taking admission here.
