College has a good atmosphere for study as well as for extracurricular activities.

Placements: I have graduated from Uttaranchal University. 100% students of my batch got placed on campus, at high pay scale as well as at low pay scale. The highest package is 7 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Companies like Panacea, Bharat Serums, and Jubiliant Foodworks are recruiting organisations. All students have to complete a 2-month internship in the first year of college. Many students applied for the internship on their own, but the ones who could not get internships from college at Himalayan Institute and Indian Glycol. Roles offered are in production and R&D.

Infrastructure: Our college is full-time. It has unlimited Wi-Fi facility with well-equipped labs having basic to advanced instruments, PCR, gel electrophoresis unit, UV spectrophotometer, etc. The library is the hub with all the required books from graduate to Ph.D. level. I was not living in the hostel. But as much as I heard about it, the hostel rooms are clean, well organised, have Wi-Fi, and good security. Mess is good. I have heard no complaints about the food. The university has its hospital on the campus. Games and sports are available till 6:00 PM.

Faculty: All teachers are doctorates, helpful, supportive, and have lots of knowledge. Teaching quality is good (Bilingual, Hindi, and English). The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult if the student has studied during the semester. 6 CGPA is the passing mark.

Other: I am interested in research related to biological organisms. We biotechnologists have the opportunity to get into any field for a career, whether food technology, microbiology, or biotechnology (animal and plant). No improvement is required; just FTIR and HPLC techniques should be taught to students. Annual fest is organised every year. The university has more than 18,000 students. It's the university with the biggest campus in Uttarakhand. Scholarships are provided, and lots of extracurricular activities are organized.

Beautiful campus, decent facilities.

Placements: The placements at UU are fairly good. Companies such as IDS Infotech and Indivirtus have come to the campus for placements, and I was fortunate enough to get offers from both of them. So, according to me, the placements are just fine. The package offered is around 3-4 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very eye-catching. It is the best thing the college owns. The hostel facilities are world-class, with all the necessary services required by students. The food in the mess is not bad; it is also good. Overall, hostel facilities are just fine.

Faculty: The teachers are good, and all are Ph.D. holders. The exam level is easy; anyone who has studied sincerely can pass easily. The HOD is very helpful. Research work is always ongoing, which gives exposure to various techniques being launched in the biotech world.

Other: The crowd is amazing. No one can be alone at UU.
