The hostel mess of VIT - Vidyalankar Institute of Technology offers good quality of foods where students rate it 4.2 out of 5. The mess caters vegetarian as well as non vegetarian foods and there is a change in menu on a monthly basis. It still has a contractual system of operation with different contractors starting their contracts every two years in the interest of quality and hygiene. The mess charges range about INR 3,500 per month; however, the students can select the meal plan and pay or can pay the amount according to their consumptions. The institute also has a student mess committee that oversees matters to do with quality and hygiene in the foods provided to the students.

The recorst of placements and salary being provided in VIT-Vidyalankar Institute of Technology is higher than expected with more than 90 % of the students placed in various reputed companies. The industry relation of the institute is also good and about 500+ companies visit the campus for placement. The highest salary that was offered to the BE/B.Tech graduates was INR 120000 per annum while the average salary was between INR 60000 INR 80000 per annum. For M.E./M.Tech graduates the average emolument offered in the campus is of INR 8-10 Lacs per annum basis. This can be of good help to the readers getting to know that most students are placed in companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture and Wipro where more than seventy percent of the students are hired. Training facility and placement center for the students are also offered by this institute.

VIT – Vidyalankar Institute of Technology provides all round development by including almost all the potentials for leisure pursuits and associations. Currently, the institute boasts of having more than 20 clubs and committees for instance: technical clubs such as Robotics club, Coding and Innovation then we have the cultural clubs like the Music, Dance and Drama clubs. For students, there are sports such as Cricket, Football, and Basketball and Institute has achieved inter-collegiate tournament championship trophies. Besides, the institute conducts an annual Techno Management festival TechFest, Cultural Fest and Sports Day in which more than students from Mumbai participates. Here at VIT, over eighty percent of the students engage themselves in extracurricular activities hence a very active student life.

Indeed, VIT – Vidyalankar Institute of Technology provides different scholarships to students. There are scholarships provided according to the result achieved in JEE Main/MHT CET; students getting over 95% can get up to 100% tuition fee exemption at this institute. Besides, the institute also provides scholarships to students from economically very low-income group where up to 50% of tuition fees may be exempted. The institute also awards scholarships to students who have done well in sports, cultural silly and other co curricular activitie. A total of INR 2.5 crores scholastic funds is distributed among about 20% of students at VIT every year.

The institute looks in to scores of other entrance tests like JEE Main for which the candidate needs to secure minimum 50 percentile. Further, there are 20% management quota seats as well in the institute intake of the particular course. Candidates may also apply based on the institute's institutional quota that takes up to 10% for admissions. However there is a riding on the candidate that they should have passed in 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with the subjects Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biology.

The said plan on the spot and the process of applying to VIT-Vidyalankar Institute of Technology are divided into the following steps: First of all, candidates have to complete an online registration on the site of the institute and fill in their and their academic data. They have also to upload the documents that include 10th and, or 12th standard marks statements, JEE Main or MHT CET score card, and the caste certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates. Though the fee for the application is INR 1,000 which must have to be paid online through credit card/debit card/ net banking etc. Upon submitting the application, candidates will be selected based on their scores in the entrance test and previous performance in class. Interested candidates are later called to the counseling session in which they can select the branch and college of their choice on merit.
