Exams Never Stop (CATs and FATs) Throughout the Year
During the academic year, students are evaluated through three main things: CAT 1 and CAT 2 (Continuous Assessment Tests), Digital Quizzes and Assignments, and FAT (Final Assessment Test).

VIT follows a strict guideline and prioritises discipline and safety. Hostels have biometrics, where you have scan your fingerprint to enter your hostel at night.

VIT Through VITEEE: Miscellaneous Things Before You Start Your Career
- VIT has strict rules. Students must do their biometric attendance once they reach their hostel block. If biometric attendance is not done, then they might call your guardian or parents.
- Everything, starting from asignment submissions, class attendance, checking grades, hostel leave, etc. is done through VTOP portal.
- Not all hostel rooms have AC facilities, and students have to change hostel rooms every year. VIT provides student rank based on your academic perfomance. Depending on your rank, you will have to take part in the counselling, where you have to choose your hostel. So, get an AC room, you need to study well and score good CGPA.
- Students need to have at least 180 credits to graduate, out of 130 credits are covered with core subjects, and the rest category comes under the electives. You can select subjects based on your interests and take accordingly.
- If you are applying for masters abroad, then you will not get permission to sit in campus placements.
Overall, VIT offer great facilities, excellent job opportunities and a lifetime experience to remember. However, it also requires you stay discipline.
