Every year, VIT Vellore conducts VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) for BTech, VIT Masters Entrance Examination (VITMEE) for MTech and VIT Research Entrance Examination (VITREE) for PhD course.

VIT University has an eco-friendly campus of around 170 acres in Chennai. It is the second campus of VIT after Vellore, established in 2010. VIT Chennai has around 13,000 students from various countries as well as from every state in India. There are 508 faculty and 137 staff members at the VIT Chennai campus. The authorities will prepare the VITEEE cutoff to select candidates for admissions into the various courses offered by the campuses of VIT. Different factors related to the entrance examination will be considered while preparing the VITEEE cutoff. Some of the important factors considered while preparing the cutoff are difficulty level of exam, previous year trends, number of applicants, total number of seats, etc. VIT cutoff will be different for every course, campus and category.
The minimum marks that the candidates have to secure for a higher chance of admission into their preferred BTech courses will be available through the VITEEE cutoff. The performance of the candidates in the exam is assessed, and the cutoff is prepared for admissions. The important determining factors are checked to prepare the category-wise cutoff so that the eligible candidates are selected for admissions.
As on April 4, 2023, the participating recruiters offered 125 job offers to the MBA batch 2023. The highest package offered during VIT Vellore MBA placements 2023 stood at INR 15 LPA. As of April 4, 2023, a total of 904 recruiters participated during VIT Vellore placements 2023. The top recruiters included Mircosoft, Amazon, PayPal, Cisco, Bank of America, etc. Apart from MBA, the overall the highest package and average package offered during VIT Vellore placements 2023 stood at INR 1.02 crore per annum and INR 9.23 LPA, respectively.
